CAMPER'S HUMOROUS LETTER HOME (a bit morbid humor, not from our camp though, but this cute boy is from our camp! :)

Dear Mom,
Our camp leader told us all write to our parents in case you saw the flood on TV and worried. We are OK. Only 1 of our tents and 2 sleeping bags got washed away. Luckily, none of us got drowned because we were all up on the mountain looking for Chad when it happened. Oh yes, please call Chad's mother and tell her he is OK. He can't write because of the cast. I got to ride in one of the search & rescue jeeps. It was neat! We never would have found him in the dark if it hadn't been for the lightning.

Camp Leader Webb got mad at Chad for going on a hike alone without telling anyone. Chad said that he did tell him, but it was during the fire so Mr. Webb probably didn't hear him. Did you know that if you put gas on a fire, the gas can will blow up? The wet wood still didn't burn, but one of our tents did. Also some of our clothes. John is going to look weird until his hair grows back.

We will be home on Saturday if Camp leader Webb gets his car fixed. It wasn't his fault about the wreck. The brakes worked OK when we left. Scoutmaster Webb said that a vehicle that old you have to expect something to break down; that's probably why he can't get insurance on it. We think it's a neat car. He doesn't care if we get it dirty, and if it's hot, sometimes he lets us ride on the tailgate. It gets pretty hot with 10 people in a car. He let us take turns riding in the trailer until the highway patrolman stopped and talked to us. Camp leader Webb is a neat guy. Don't worry, he is a good driver. In fact, he is teaching Terry how to drive. But he only lets him drive on the mountain roads where there isn't any traffic. All we ever see up there are logging trucks. He has to spend a lot of time working on the car so we are trying not to cause him any trouble.

This morning all of the guys were diving off the rocks and swimming out in the lake. Scoutmaster Webb wouldn't let me because I can't swim, and Chad was afraid he would sink because of his cast, so he let us take the canoe across the lake. It was great. You can still see some of the trees under the water from the flood. Camp leader Webb isn't crabby like some camp leaders. He didn't even get mad about the life jackets. Guess what? We have all passed our first aid merit badges. When Dave dove in the lake and cut his arm, we got to see how a tourniquet works. Also Wade and I threw up. Camp leader Webb said it probably was just food poisoning from the leftover chicken. He said he got sick that way with the food he ate in prison.

I'm so glad he got out and became our scoutmaster. He said he sure figured out how to get things done better while he was doing his time.

I have to go now. We are going into town to mail our letters and buy some more bullets. Don't worry about anything. We are fine.

Omladinski kamp 2009:

- Najbolje na kampu je bilo zajedništvo svih naroda, slavljenje, Amerikanci, posebno Rodney!

- Bog me je izvadio iz kutije I otvorio mi horizonte još više.
- odlične,odlične,odlične igre s porukom evanđelja
- upoznao nove radikalne kršćane što me ohrabrilo
- Bio sam na kampu usred Božije volje

- Meni je sve bilo super na kampu I ne mogu odvojiti ništa posebno, samo želim ostati čvrsta u Božijoj riječi. Mirsada Mostar

o Emek Beraka! Kamp je bio SUPER! Otkrio sam svoju svrhu, služeći Bogu! Ljudi, okruženje, ozbiljno i slobodno vrijeme...sve je bilo super! Jedna sedmica je prekratka! Emek Beraka, Slava Moj Bog!

• Super je bilo!!! Jedva čekam sljedeću godinu i kamp. B.B.

- Primio sam:
- Značaj zajedništva;
- Značaj služenja;
- Značaj usmene molitve;
- Svježinu u slavljenju;
- Lijepo druženje.
- Do godine, puno blagoslova u Isusu Kristu!

- Kamp 2009- Daniel Galić
- vidio sam koliko sport može dobro utjecati na povezivanje i izgradnju zajedništva
- jako sam ohrabren svjedočanstvima misionara, kao i ljudi iz BiH
- upoznao sam dosta ljudi i razvio neke dobre odnose i kontakte
- lakše mi je imati sliku Božijeg djelovanja na prostoru ex Jugoslavije

- BOG MI JE ODGOVORIO KROZ OSOBU DA JEDNA DJEVOJKA KOJA MI SE SVIDJELA NIJE “TA”!- JER BOG IMA NAJBOLJE I TO JE SUPER.

- Svjedok sam bio nekih izcjeljenja I mene je Bog po tom pitanju dotakao. Ohrabren sam kako sestre služe I vode razne stvari

- Ovaj kamp je bio super za mene! Bog je dotaknuo moje srce I pokazao mi je koliko je moćan I jak! Ovaj kamp nikad neću zaboraviti!

- Ono sto je meni najviše poslužilo je bila Vanjina poruka o tome kako Bog uživa u pokazivanju svoje slave kroz naše slabosti. Ja sam se osjećala kao da su sve moje slabosti jednostavno preteške, ali ono što mi je pomoglo da se sjetim da nijedan problem nije prevelik za Boga i to da me on voli iako ja nisam savršena.

- JA SAM POSJETIO MNOGO ZEMALJA I VIDJEO MNOGO SLUŽBI, ALI NIJEDNA ME NIJE MOTIVISALA ILI MI DALA VIŠE NADE I OHRABRILA ME KAO OVAJ KAMP. JA SAM ISTINSKI DOŽIVJEO I VIDJEO DA BOG RADI NA MOĆAN NAČIN U BOSNI I HERZOGOVINI (OPROSTITE MI AKO JE MOJA GRAMATIKA LOŠA) I NA OVOME KAMPU I DA BOG IMA VELIKE PLANOVE ZA OVU REGIJU. NASTAVITE SA ODLIČNIM RADOM I MOLIM SE DA ĆE GOB OBILNO BLAGOSLOVITI OVU SLUŽBU I UMNOŽITI VAM ŽETVU, U ISUSOVO IME, AMEN! JOHNNY B

- Bog me dotakao u svakom dijelu mog života. Bila sam totalno promjenjena. Došla sam na kamp totalno ne očekujući ništa I danas znam da sam čišća I pročišćena nego što sam ikada bila u životu. Hvala vam.

- Stvarno sam mnogo ohrabren. Za mene je ovo bilo itekako osvježavajuće vrijeme, biti zajedno sa svojom braćom i sestrama i smijati se, zabavljati se kroz zajedničko učenje o Gospodu.

- Stvarno mi se svidjela „radionica“. Mislim da nam je to vrijeme dobro došlo da nešto radimo, a također je dobro došlo i za povezivanje sa drugim ljudima. Hvala vam puno za sav teški rad! Bilo mi je na blagoslov.

- Na kampu je bilo lijepo kao I svaki put kada sam bila! Hvala vam na vašim osmjesima I molitvama..posebno kuharicama, Vanji I punovremenom timu. Čuvajte se I unosite radost u svačije živote....neka vas sve blagoslovi dragi Bog.. Puse (:

- Kroz ove protekle 2 sedmice, ja sam bila ohrabrena da živim život znajući ko sam u Kristu i da se nikada ne uplašim govoriti…hvala vođama koji su me stvarno ohrabrili u tom području…Bog me dotakao u mnogim područjima u mom životu, mnoge mi je stvari razjasnio I otvorio mi je vrata za neke nove stvari u životu. BOG JE DOBAR…neka vas Bog blagoslovi I molim se za BiH...Hvala. Lynnz.

- Kamp je bilo super, divno EXTRA!:) Bog mi je dao ponovo njegovu ljubav, moram imati strpljenje i sve svoje brige sam stavila kod njega. Bog je super! I da, sad znam da ću se jednog dana tu vratiti Jesus, love you!:)

• Doživio sam nešto najljepše u životu dobio sam pravi ritam za disanje. Ono je nešto nevjerovatno. Zahvaljujem svima što su radili, organizatoru. A posebno BOGU!

• Kamp je bio divno iskustvo, voljeo bih se vratiti sljedeće godine, bilo je silno.

• Meni je na kampu bilo super. U pozno sam dosta ljudi i što je najvažnije da sam upozno gospoda i da me je gospod dotako i ušao u moje srce. I pokazo mi pravi put onaj teži al ispravan...VOLIM VAS MRĐAN

• Hvala vam na svemu! Kamp je bio super, I bila mi je čast vidjeti kako je Bog promjenio toliko srca I života.

• Ove dvije sedmice Bog me naučio više o radosti i ispunjenosti u Njemu, I također mi je pokazao šta zaista znači biti Tijelo Kristovo-izvan nacija, izvan granica, u jedinstvu sa dragocjenom braćom i sestrama u BiH. Hvala vam. Neka Bog umnoži rad koji je započeo, i neka Njegovo Kraljevstvo dođe u svaki grad u BiH. Liesl

• Na ovom kampu mi se svidjelo. Upoznao sam nove prijatelje, i ljude koji su mi pokazali ljubav. Volio bi da kamp traje duže. Zahvaljujem na svoj ljubavi koju ste mi posvetili na ovom kampu. Sudko

• Gospod me prosvjetlio, naučila sam dosta toga novoga I želim uvijek rasti u Gospodu!

• Ovo mjesto je zaista dolina blagoslova I zahvaljujem Gospodu sto sam imao/la tu provilegiju da ga vidim kako hoda ovdje među nama svaki dan I da čujem toliko svjedočanstava kako je Bog dotakao živote ljudi u Bosni. Djela 17:27. Božija nakana za narode je bila ta da traže Gospoda i da osjećaju kako se približavaju Njemu. Zahvaljujem Bogu što sam imala privilegiju da budem dio ( na kratko vrijeme) nacije. To je zaista ono traženje Boga i doživljaj toga kako ih Bog sreće, blagosilja i voli. Uvijek ću se moliti za Bosnu! Global Challenge 2009-09-04

• Kamp je bio super za mene, ne samo da sam naučila o tome kako Bog ima svrhu najbolju za mene, nego sam I primila od Boga radost I iscjeljenje od mnogih stvari u mom životu. Zato zahvaljujem Gospodu što sam mogla biti ovdje s vamai nek Bog I vas blagoslovi I upotrijebi kao što već jest!

“Opet osjećam slobodu ”

• Bog se proslavlja u našim slabostima I koristi slomljene posude-nekad to znah po čuvenju sad su mi oči vidjele I uši čule, ruke opipale a to je samo početak gle kako sve ima smisla he.he.he. 

- Stvarno sam imala nevjerovatno iskustvo s Bogom, stvarno sam vidjela kako je Bog došao i promjenio ljudske živote I vidjela sam kako su ljudi doživjeli Božiju prisutnost. Predivno je vidjeti kako Bog skuplja mase ljudi za Svoju Zemlju BiH I kako se ljudi obučavaju tako da pomognu obnoviti Božiju ljubav za naciju!! Za punovremeni Tim, želim da kažem, dobro urađen posao I hvala vam za naporan rad koji ste uložili. Stvarno ste napravili promjenu i ogroman uticaj na živote ljudi/dijece. Nastavite da idete dalje i borite Dobru borbu vjere “Godspeed”

- Kamp je bio FANTASTIČAN! Uživao sam u opuštenoj atmosferi! Slavljenje mi je bilo super!? Kao I uvijek! Izazvan sam propovjedima! Bog je iskoristio ovo vrijeme da probode moje srce sa DUBOKOM istinom o tome KO JA JESAM u Njemu i za sta sam JA stvoren da budem. Kao i uvijek Hvala vam!!

- Na kampu sam doživio mnogo lijepih stvari koje mi puno znače u životu I koje će me voditi kroz život.

- Na ovom kampu sam doživjela mnogo lijepih, ali I ružnih stvari. Doživjela sam da po prvi put u životu osjetim da me Bog pazi, da je uvijek tu I da želi moje srce u potpunosti. Osjetila sam po prvi put puninu u svome srcu. Slava nek je Bogu! 

- Gospod me naučio da se može proslaviti u mojim slabostima pokazao mi je da uprkos teškim trenutcima on je sa mnom I ne odustaje od mene. Bilo je lijepo podsjetiti se na to. Ali isto tako obnoviti znanje zašto sam ovdje. Privilegija je slaviti ga, imati zajedništvo sa trojicom, učeništvo, a povrh svega služiti mu.

- Kamp je bio super! U svakoj igri su bile lekcije kao I propovijedi. Najviše od svega me dojmilo to što su ljudi puni ljubavi i prihvataju te kao svoju porodicu. Nikada neću zaboraviti ljude u Bosni! Rodney

- Ova kamp je bijo super, u srcu če mi ostati Bog je promjenio nešto više u meni. Sad sam pun njegove ljubavi radosti i mira. U ovom kampu sam puno naučijo od drugi i od Boga najviše jer on mi je otvorijo srce. Sretan sam što je Bog imao plan za mene sretan sam što sam se krstijo u njegovo IME ISUSA. Jesus is God

- OHRABRILO ME GLEDATI KAKO LJUBAV LOMI OKOVE- ( KAKO SE NEKI JEDNOSTAVNO NE MOGU OTETI OD LJUBAVI BOŽJE KOJU SU PRIMALI KROZ BRAĆU I SESTRE). SADA JASNIJE MOGU VIDJETI PRIRODU KUŠNJE I RAZUMJETI ŠTA SVE STAVLJAM NA KOCKU AKO PADNEM U GRIJEH. VJERUJEM DA SU MNOGI PRIMILI OD GOSPODA I DA SVI TUŽNI ODLAZIMO JER JE KRAJ ALI IPAK RADOSNI U SRCU JER ZNAMO DA BOG JE ŽIV.

- Ovdje na kampu mi je bilo super iako je ponekad bilo dosadno. Zabavljala sam se uz razne igre. Ovdje sam stvarno shvatila šta meni Bog predstavlja u životu. Zapravo sve je bilo lijepo i uvijek kada sam bila tužna pjevajući pjesme o Bogu uspjela sam se razveseliti. Pusa!

- P:S. Hvala svim ljudima koji su nam ovo omogućili i molili se za nas!

- Omladinski kamp je bilo super- bilo je i fino i teško. Puno sam se smijala a i dosta sam plakala. Bog me je stvarno dotakao, posebno kad smo pričali o slabostima I služenje- nekako sam bila zaboravila ko sam ja u Bogu a kroz kampa Bog mi je opet pokazao da sam njegova stvorenja a u svim svojim slabostima Bog može biti proslavljen kroz mene. Imam osjećaj kao da ću opet uskoro biti u pustinji da ma je Bog na kampu nekako pripremila za toga i da ću izaći jaksija neg prije. Drago mi je što sam mogla biti ovdje sa svojim brače I sestre iz Bosne I Herzegovine

- Biti dio ovoga kampa je super iskustvo! Stvarno sam uživao biti sa svim mladim ljudima i vidjeti kako oni vole Isusa. Divno je vidjeti mlade ljude BiH kako slave Gospoda i kako mu daju čast. Zahvalan sam bogu na ovome kampu, zato što on radi super stvari kroz to u BiH! Neka vs Bog sve blagoslovi!

- Kamp je bio jedno od najboljih iskustava u mom životu, divni ljudi i divna zajednica!

- Divno je vidjeti kako Bog radi u životima ljudi! Radujem se ponovnom dolasku. Volim vas! Neka vas Bog blagoslovi! Ben Komanapalli

- Bog je svaku osobu lično sreo na ovome kampu. Donio je iscjeljenje, slobodu, život i nadu mnogim osobama, uključujući i mene. Sa Bogom uvijek postoji nada. Ovaj kamp me stvarno ohrabrio da tražim Boga još više. Uzbuđen sam zbog onoga šta Bog radi u životima ljudi. Slava Bogu zauvijek. On obnavlja živote mnogih ljudi da bi otišli i promjenili BiH i cijeli svijet.

- Bilo je super! Slobodna, zajedništvo, mir I ljubav… vidjela sam da je Bog probio u mnogim životima! Za iduću godinu možda da večerarašni program počinje ranije. ( oko 7) Bless you all for your Hardwork!

Youth camp 2009

• The best thing at the camp was the fellowship of all nations, worship, Americans, ecpecially Rodney!

• God put me out of the box and opened the new horizons even more.
• great, great, great games with the message of the Gospel
• met new radical Christians which encouraged me
• I was at the camp in the middle of God s will

• For me, everything was great at the camp and I cant really separate anything speciall, I just want to stay firm in God s word! Mirsada Mostar

• KAMP WAS GREAT, FULL OF BLESSINGS, SO I GO HOME TODAY WITH THE ENCOURAGMENTS FROM THE LORD HIMSELF, AND FROM THE BROTHERS AND SISTERS WHO SERVED ME THIS WEEK.

• This camp was great for me! God touched my heart and showed me how powerfull and strong He is! I will never forget this kamp!

• What ministered to me the most was Vanja’s message about how God delights in displaying His glory through us. In our weekness I had been feeling like all my weaknesses were just too much, but what helped me to remember that no problem is too bigr God, and He loves me even though I am not perfect.

• I HAVE VISITED MANY COUTRIES THIS YEAR AND SEEN MANY MINISTRIES, BUT NONE HAVE MOTIVATED ME OR GIVEN ME MORE HOPE AND ENCOURAGEMENT AS THIS CAMP. I HAVE TRULY EXPERENCED AND SEEN THAT GOD IS WORKING POWERFULLY IN BOSNIA HERZOKOVINA ( SORRY IF SPELLING IS WRONG  ) AND THIS CAMP AND THAT GOD HAS GREAT PLANS FOR THIS REGION. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK AND I PRAY THAT GOD WILL GREATLY BLESS THIS MINISTRY AND INCREASE YOUR HARVEST, IN JESUS NAME, AMEN! JOHNNY B

• OH, IT WAS JUST GREAT! SO MANY NISE, INTERESTING PEOPLE ON ONE PLACE! GOS DID A LOT IN ALL OF US AND I THINK WE ALL FELT HIM. I SAW HOW GOD IS LEADING THE WHOLE CAMP FROM THE BIGINING TO THE END AND HOW HE CONECT PEOPLE ZROM ALL OVER THE COUNTRY! I RECEVED A LOT OF HOPE THAT HIS KINGDOM WILL COME OVER BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA! THANK YOU JESUS! THANK YOU WHO SERVED!

• IT WAS GREAT AT THE CAMP, NOW I SEE HOW MUCH GOD HAS CHANGED ME FROM THE LAST TIME, WHAT KIND OF STRENGHT HE GAVE ME, LOVE, AND HOW HE OPENED MY EYES AND NOW I SEE THAT ALL THE THINGS I DID BEFORE WARE ONE BIG CRAZYNES AND VANITY. I AM THANKFULL FOR THE MIRACLE IN MY LIFE

• God touched me in every part of my life. I was completely changed. I came on the camp totally not expecting anything and I m knowing today much more clansed and pure than I’ve every been in my life. Thank you.

• I really received a lot of encourgement. It was a refreshing time for me to be together with my brothers and sisters and laugh and have fun together while learning more about the Lord together.

• I really liked the “ workshop” time. I think it provided a great time to do something and provide an atmosphere to connect with people. Thank you so much for all the hard work! It was a blessing.

• I head a nice time at the camp like every other time I was here…Thank you for your smiles and prayers…speciall thanks to the cooks, Vanja and the fulltime Team…Take care and bring joy to everyones lives....may The Good God bless you all..Kisses (:

• During the last 2 weeks, I have been encouragd to live life, in who I am in Christ and Never to be scared to speak out…Thank you to the Leaders who really encouraged me in that area…

- This place is really a valley of blessing and I htank God that I had the privilege to see him wak here every day and to hear so many testamonis of how God has touched the lives of the pople in Bosnia. “I feel freedom again”

- God is glorified in our weekneses and He is using broken vessels - once I only heard about it, but now my eyes has seen, my ears has heard has heard, my hands have touched and thats only the beginning- loook how it all makes sense! he.he. 

- I really had an amazing experience with God, I really saw how God came and changed peoples lives and saw people experience Gods presense. It is amazing to see the multitudes that God is gathering for His Country BiH and how people is getting equiped to help restore God s love for the Nation. For the full time Team, I want to say job well done and thanx for hard work that you’ve put in, you really made a change and huge impact on the lives of young people.Keep on keeping on and fight the Good fight of faith!

• I have experienced a lot of nice thing s at this camp that mean a lot to me in my life and that will guide me true life.

• I have experienced a lot of nice but also a lot of bad things at this camp. I have experienced for the first time that God is taking care of me, that he is always there and that he wants my whole heart. • God thought me that He can be gloryfied in my weeknesses he showed me that inspite of all the hard moments, he is still with me and doesn’t give up on me. It was nice to reminded of that. But also to restore the knowledge why am I here. It is a priviledge to glorify Him, have comunnity with The Trinity, discipleship, and above all to serve him.

• Camp was great! There were lessons in the game as well as preaching! Most of all for me the people were so loving and accept you like you are Family. I will never forget the pople in Bosnia! Rodney

• It was great here at this camp even though sometimes it was boring. I had fun with all kind of games. I have really realized what God means to me in my life. Acctually everything was nice and everytime that I was sad I started singing songs about God and I have managed to cheer up. Kisses!

• The youth camp was great-it was nice and hard. I have laughed a lot but I also cried. God really touched me, especially when we talked about weeknesses and the serving- somehow I have forget who am I in God and through camp God showed me again that I am His creation and that through all my weeknesses God can be gloryfied. I have a feeling like I will be in the desert again, that somehow God prepered me for that through this camp and that later on I will come out of it much stronger. I was glad I could be here with my brothers and sisters from Bosnia and Herzegovina

• To be part of the camp was a great experience! I really enjoyed to be with all the young people and see how they love Jesus. It s great to see young people of BiH praising God and giving him honor. I prais GOD for this camp, because he is doing great things through it in BiH! God bless you all!

"OVDJE SE ČUDA DOGAĐAJU"

Mene je na kampu najviše dojmilo to što sam se oslobodio!• Na kampu je sve bilo super. Proveo sam se odlično, bilo je zanimljivo tako da s ene mogu žaliti! Upoznao sam novu prijatelje itd.

• Na ovom kampu me stvarno nekoliko stvari dotaklo. Drago mi je što sam upoznala toliko dobrih ljudi koji su spremni na sve radi nas. Večernje propovjedi su mi stvarno otvorile oči i drago mi je da čula priče tih ljudi is ve te njihove savjete koje sam spremna slijediti i poslušati. Upoznala sam se sa životim djevojčica/cura koje sam smatrala svojim prijateljicama (i to onim boljim) i kada sam čula njihove priče, njihove probleme, stvarno sam se željela pomoliti za njih i biti tu s njima. Ovaj kamp mi je otvorio oči...puno bolje sam upoznala Isusa Krista i najveća odluka koja ikad može biti donešena donešena je na ovom kampu. A to je da želim nastaviti ili početi svoj život sa Kristom, da ga želim slijediti slaviti, slušati Njegovu riječ, pričati drugima o Njemu...

• Najviše što me dotakloo na ovom kampu je to što je Bog dao svoj život za nas i podario na slobodu. Ovo me inspiriše na ljude koji prolaze kroz vrata raznih ovisnosti ali ipak Bog čuje i vidi i On će otvoriti vrata svoja i uči u naša srca. On iscjeljuje naša srca i sav teret koji je je pretežak da ga mi sami nosimo, On preuzima i drago mi je da sam uz vođe i molitve prošao kroz ta vratra istine jer to je sloboda! Hvala Bože! • Oslobodio me Bog od svega onog što ne valja u mom životu i u mome srcu. Bog me je ohrabrio da je Onuvijek uz mene i kad ja osjećam tugu i bol, koja mi ne da mira unutar mene. Stvarno Bog je učinio čudo u mom životu i hvala mu na tome, jednostavno hvala mu na svemu. I nekako osjećam da mi svaki skoro dan govori da je On uz mene!

• Na kampu je bilo super, uživali smo. Teme su bile na ohrabrenje svima nama. Posebno nam se svidio četvrtak kad smo kroz igru i zabavu došli do vaznih zaključaka u životu.
• Bila sam na mnogo kampova prije ovoga, ali ovoga puta stvarno sam osjetila da nisam došla uzalud. Stvarno sam se osjećala posebnom i pored svega toga sma se super provela. Nadam se da će ovaj Duh ostati u meni i kada se vratim kući, natrag u svijet. Stvarno bih željela zahvaliti svim vođama koje su nas čuvale i ohrabrivali. A ponajviše bih zahvalila našem glavnom vođe – Bogu! Zar to nije smisao života? Hvala!

• Prvenstveno na kamp sam došla radi druženja. Mnoge prijatelje sam ranije poznavala, ali kad sam došla shvatila sam da je Bog taj zbog kojeg sam došla. Teme su bile dobre, ali su te teme pogađale mnoge! Kada smo prvi put slavili Boga, shvatila sam da je Bog taj zbog koga sam došla!

• Bilo mi je dobro. Spoznao Boga. Slavljenje. Ali najbolje je bilo nošenje grede jer smo spoznali kako je bilo Isusu za naše grijehe. Kakve je muke i mučenja podnosijo za nas. I izvinite zbog onog što sam pravijo probleme! Čaoooo! Alen

• Na ovom kampu sam shvatila značenje slobode. Shvatila sam koliko sma sretna što sam slobodna. Upoznala sam nove prijatelje i tako se zbližila sa puno dobrih, vedrih i nasmijanih ljudi.

• Na ovom kampu sam spoznao šta je sloboda! Na kampu sam naučio da je sloboda za svakog bizna, pa čak i za mene.Mnogo toga sam naučio ovdje kao npr. Plivati, pomagati drugima i ono što je najbitnije brinuti se da ne idemo u grijeh koji nas vodi u propast! Volim slaviti Boga jer On slavi meme! Zbogom do slijedeće godine! Alen

• Bog je istina i samo nas istina može osloboditi. Teško je govoriti istinu, ali samo tako možemo biti slobodni!

• Najviše su me dojmile priče drugih ljudi iz njihovih života od kojih sam mnogo toga naučila.

• Posebno me je dotakao Eldinin govor i njezina hrabrost d ao tome priča. I veoma mi se svidjelo kako ljudi (punovremeni tim i ostale vođe) imaju jaku vjeru u Boga i tu strast prema Njemu. Jednog dana i ja bih voljela da Isus isto tako dotakne moje srce i da i ja budem ta koja će širiti radosnu vijest o isus! Btw. Puno hvala Afrikancima jer su me oni stvarno ohrabrili i pomogli mi. I želim se zahvaliti Vanji, Eldini, Dini, Claire, Kikiju, Michelle...hvala vam i Hvala Gospodu!

• Meni je bilo dobro na ovom kampu. Igro sam se lopte, bilo mi je dobro i φino! Borislav

• Ja baš nisam doživio neku slobodu na kampu ali ja vjerujem u Boga i nadam se da ču jednog dana doživit! Bog je s nama

• Kamp je bio drama! Pravo sam uzivala, a ono što mi se najviše svidjelo su igre koje smo igrali u četvrtak. Posebno mi se svidjela igra s konopom u krug jer mislim da ima pravu pouku. Igra me je podsjetila na mene kako se nekada znam naći u nekoj sitiuaciji u kojoj ne vidim izlaz i jednostavno se vrtzim u tom začaranom krugu. Shvatila sam da u nekim situacijama ne mogu sama, već da trebam nečiju pomoć. Također mi se jako svidjelo slavljenje. Tema kamp je bila sloboda i mislim da ste izabrali pravu temu jer je sloboda potrebna svima nama. Ono što bi voljela je da je bilo više nekih drama kao i prošle godine. Voljela bih stvarno da iduće godine bude više drama, ali je ok i ovo. Keep fun. Izabela

• Na ovom kampu mi je bilo lijepo jer sam saznala više stvari, mislim ono što nisam znala. Drago mi je što je tema bila sloboda. Bilo mi je najdraže kad smo mogli da izađemo da se vođe mole za nas! To me ispunjavalo i zahvalna sam vam na tome! Hvala!

• U puno sam boljem odnosu s Bogom!

• Najviše me dotaknulo to da smo pričali o ovisnosti jer će nas to naučiti i upozoriti da više to ne radimo!

• Na ovom kampu osjetila sam Božju prisutnost u svom đivotu. Odlučila sam dovijeka slaviti i imati Krista u svom životu!

• Najviše su me dotakle pjesem i priče uz koje sam imao još više ljubavi prema Bogu. Jednostavno kad sam došao u kamp, prvi dan vidjeo sam kako u voditelja nema mržnje-da je svaki od njih otvorio svoje srce nama kao i njima i svima nama Bog-Isus Krist. I sada vidim da svaki čovjek ima svoj put i da Bog-Isus Krist nam je dao srce da pružamo sa svima oko sebe. Jednostavno pouku iz svega ovoga!

• Ovdje na kampu mi je bilo jako lijepo, kao i svaki put. Sviđaju mi se najviše pjesme o bogu koje pjevamo. Dodirnu me u srce i osjećam se iznutra kao da sam se opet rodila, osjećam zaštićenost i ljubav. Ja volim vas sve vođe i mogla bih s vama zauvijek živjeti! VOLIM VAS SVE PUNO, PUNO, PUNO p.s. Jedva čekam da vas opet vidim!

• BOG ME OHRABRIO DA SKOČIM SA VELIKE SKAKAONICE NA GLAVU. ZAHVALAN SAM MU ZA OHRABRENJE I SNAGU I DRAGO MI JE DA MI SE ISPUNILA ŽELJA!

• Na ovom kampu Bog mi je pružio šansu da upoznam istinu jer me je istina oslobodila. Osjećam se kao ponovo rođena i zahvaljujem se Bogu...Oslobodio me tuge, mržnje, loših misli i puno mi pomogao u toku ove sedmice na kampu. Sretna sam što sam imala priliku da dođem na kamp i upoznam istinu!

• Na ovom kampu me je naj više dotaklo što je Bog u mom srcu i lijepo mi je bilo na kampu. Isus živi u mom srcu ZAUVIJEK!

• Najviše me dotakla predstava koju su izveli Afrikanci i Ameri jer je sve bilo tako nestvarno a posebno. Kraj je bio najbolji!¨

• Ja sam musliman ali zaista me dotakla priča o Isusu i da vjerujem u Isusa i mnogo poučnih priča koje ću zapamtiti jer zaista neznam štaje istina ali pitaću Boga šta je istina i svidjeli su mi se mnogi prijatelji kao: Johan i Stiv, Piđi. Almin Glumac

• Mene je dotaklo slavljenje kad smo slavili Boga.

• Ja na ovome kampu sam upoznala mnogo toga što trebamo čuvati u svojoj duši jer baš nam te stvari davaju jednu pouku u životu. I te nam stvari mogu poboljšati život, da budemo predani Bogu u potpunosti jer će nam On uljepšati život. Nećemo više ići unazad i prolaziti kroz ta vrata zla, jer ako prođemo prva vrata zla to je malo teže prvi put, ali poslije mi nećemo ni osjetiti da idemo u to zlo. Ako se mi predamo Bogu mi više nećemo prolaziti kroz ta vrata. I poenta ili bit ovog kampa je sloboda i to mi se sviđa! I On je uvijek raširenih ruku i zove nas k sebi...Arijana

• Na ovom kampu dotaklo me je to što me samo istina može osloboditi smao ako zatražim od Boga!

• Od kad sam došla na kamp neka svjetlost je prošla korz moje tijelo. Osjećala sam se moćno, prihvaćeno, SLOBODNO. U meni se probudilo nešto što me podstaklo da tražim Boga, njegovu pomoć, njegovu ruku. Probudile su me riječi Dine i Mirele, da se ne smijemo rugati svom izgledu jer se tako rugamo Njegovoj kreaciji. To me podstaklo da imam veću nadu za Bogom, d abudem njegovo dobro djelo koje će ga slaviti i ljubiti njegovo ime! Amen. Fikreta

• Meni je na kampu sve bilo dobro i stvarno sam uživala zahvaljujući vama koji ste nam pomogli da budemo dobri i da volimo Boga. Meni je bilo najbolje kad smo slavili Boga.

• Meni je bilo sve dobro, a najbolje su bile sportske igre!

• Sve je bilo prelijepo...Ono što me najviše dotaklo je propovjed koju nam je pričao Adem. Nekako me punilo...Slavljenje je bilo jako lijepoooooooo i tako to! Ne znam opisati ono što osjećam trenutno! Bay!

• Ovaj kamp će mi ostati u sjećanju jer sam se lijepo provela i upoznala nove prijatelje uz to Bog mi je pružio šansu i upoznala sam istinu koja me oslobodila! Bog je duh, gdje je duh tu je sloboda!

• Na kampu mi se posebno svidjelo kada mi Bog ispuni dušu ljubavi. Meni se najviše svidjelo kada smo nosili gredu! Daniel

• E ovako „GREDA mi je prijatelj“. To jest upoznao sam jako dobre prijatelje i povezao se s njima „volim ih“. I to je ono što nam je Bog dao, upoznali smo dobre voditelje i čuli njihove priče. A sloboda...kad bi počeo pisati, pisao bi jos 1 tjedan. Hvala !!!! Ćao!!!

• Na kampu je sve bilo super i svašta se je moglo naučiti samo da svi to prihvate. TO BI BILO SUPER!

• Dotaklo me što smo pričali o alkoholu. Bog je toliko močan da je solobodio mog oca od alkohola!

• Kamp mi se svidjeo. Upoznao sam mnoge drage i fine ljude koji su me naučili mnogo pametnh stvari. Najviše su mi se svidjeli Johan i Stive. Naučili su me mnogo toga, a pomogli su mi da spoznam istinu. Hvala svima! Dany! Nemam riječi!

• I was touched the most by the fact that I am freed!

• Everything was great at the Camp. I had a great time, it was interesting so I can t complain! I have meet new friend s etc.

• I was really touched by many things at this Camp. I am glad I have met so many nice people who are ready for everything because of us. The evening sermons really opened my eyes and I am glad I have heard the stories of this people and their entire advice s witch I am ready to follow and listen. I have met some girls who I consider my best friends and when I have heard their stories, their problems I really wanted to pray for them and be there for them. This Camp opened my eyes…I started to know Jesus Christ much better and the biggest decision that can ever be decided is on this Camp. And that is that I want to continue or begin my life with Christ, that I want to follow Him, worship, listen to His Word, talk about Him to the others…

• I was touched the most at this Camp by the fact that God gave His life for us and gave us freedom. This reminds of people who are going through the doors of all kind of addictions and yet God hears and sees and He opens His door and come into our hearts. He is healing our hearts and all the burden which is too heavy for us to take, He takes it and I am glad that with the leaders prayer I have passed through the doors of the truth because that is the freedom. I HAVE COME TO KNOW A LOT OF THE THINGS AT THIS CAMP BUT MOST OF ALL I WAS INTERESTED TO BE CLOSER. I WOULD LIKE TO THANK THE EVANGELICAL CHURCH IN JAJCE, FOR GIVING ME THE OPPORTUNITY FOR THE SECOND TIME TO COME TO EMEK BERAKA CAMP

• God has set me free from all the bad things in my life and in my heart. God encouraged me that He will always be with me and when I am feeling sadness and pain, which doesn’t fill my heart with peace. Really, God has made a miracle in my life and I thank Him for that, simply thank you for everything. And somehow I feel that every day He is telling me that He is with me!

• It was great at the Camp. Themes were the encouragement to us all. I especially liked the Thursday when, through the games and fun we came to important conclusions in the life.

• I was a part of many Camps before this one but this time I really feel that I haven’t come in vain. I really felt special and besides that I had a great time. I hope that this Spirit will remain in me when I go home, back to the world. I really wanted to thank to all the leaders that cared for us and encouraged us. THE MIRACLES ARE HAPPENING HERE!!!

• I came to this camp because of friendships. I knew a lot of these people before but when I came I knew I came for God. The topics were good and they touched many hearts. When we celebrated God, I realized that God was the reason I came at the camp.

• It was good. I met God. Worship. But the best thing was caring the beam because we found out how it was for Jesus for our sins. What kind of pain and torture he took for us? And I just want to say I am sorry for the troubles I have caused. Ciaoooo!Alen

• At this camp I have realized the meaning of freedom. I have realized how happy I am because I am free. I have meet new friends and I came close with a lot of good, cheerful and smiley people.

• At this camp I realized what freedom is! At the camp I realized that freedom is important, even for me. I have learned a lot of things here, for example how to swim, help others and what s important to care about not sinning that leads us to going to hell. • It was so good for me at this camp. I played football, it was good and nice! Borislav

• I really didn’t t experience some freedom at these camp but I believe in God and I hope that one day I will experience! God is with us

• The camp was a drama! I really enjoyed, and the most I liked ware the games we were playing on Thursday. I especially liked the circle rope game because I think it has a lesson. The game reminded me of me when sometimes I can find myself in a situation where I can t see the way out and I just go round and round in this vicious circle. I realized that in some situations I can’t do it by myself and that I need someone’s help. Also I really liked the worship. The topic of the camp was freedom and I really think that you have picked a right topic because the freedom is necessary to us all. • It was nice at this camp because I have come to know a lot more, I mean what I didn’t know before. I am glad the topic was freedom. My favorite thing was the fact that we could go up front and let the leaders pray for us! That filled me and I am grateful for that! Thank you!

• Here at this camp it was nice, like every time. I liked the most the songs about God that we are singing. They touch my heart and I feel like a newborn inside again, I feel protection and love. I love you all the leaders and I could live with you guys forever!

Najvise mi se svidjelo prijateljstvo!
Na kampu mi je bilo veoma lijepo. Posebno su mi se sviđale priče iz kojih smo svaki dan neso novo mogli naucit. Takođe su mi se sviđale i stanice i avantura na koju smo išli. Šator mi ej bio odličan, velik i nije prokišnjavao. Vođe su bile odlične u jednoj rečenici. Sve mi se sviđalo, samo smo se zadnji dna posvađale prijateljica i ja i to mi se nije sviđali, ali je na kraju sve ispalo ok.

CHILDREN CAMP: Most of all I enjoyed the friendships!It was really nice at the Camp. Especially I liked the stories from which we ware learning something new every day. I also liked the station s and the adventure that we were going. My tent was great, big and it didn’t leak. Leader s ware great in one sentence. camp 2009 summa summarum

Camps 2009 have finished. We started off in faith and depending totally on His grace, oh and how faithful He was. This year preparation started later than planned and in many ways we had no other option but trust God to make the way and put everything together in time!

As I look back and remember, my mind races and suddenly there are faces, events, needs, situations where we witnessed God! I will try to pin point few!

First thing that I remember is that just a few weeks before camps, I wasn’t sure if I will have enough strength to go through it. I also remember that I did not have a team completed few days before the starting day. As I remember, I see set up time and the perfect weather He provided which was essential for the work. When I think about weather, I think of God who orders clouds around, as He did at the adult camp where He supernaturally opened heaven for us in every meaning of the word. Adult camp also makes me think of the tents and us frantically purchasing new ones since the old/new ones were disaster, and in the midst of the panic...I remember God providing peace, money, good tents on discount, transport...all in time! Thank you Lord! During prayer camp we followed Elijah around mountains, but along with him, I remember we also met God in a whole new way...we all visited that place of revelation, mountain Horeb finding strength for the journey ahead of us! And what journey that was! Then finances, and when I think about those, all I see is cup that overflows! I also remember kids’ camps, and amazing opportunity we had to invest in 133 of their little lives during the 2 weeks of camps! Amazing opportunity! I am also so thankful for God’s protection 24/7 during that time, and throughout other camps as well! Then teen camp and the fact that one day before we started it, we had 110 teenagers plus 40 workers on the list, which was way above our abilities, capacities and strength. But then...but God...overnight, just as in Moses’ case when He opened the red sea as they were sleeping :), so He made our teen list manageable and the teen camp that followed, was the best one ever. And then comes youth camp, and I see faces hungry and thirsty for peace, for life, for something else, something that works...I see faces laughing and having fun while throwing brooms across the camp :)...I see God preparing generation ready to go all the way, even through lack, troubles, temptations and persecution and still withstand! I see God inviting people to follow and worship when He gives and takes away! I see God promising never to let go, through the high and through the low, through the storm and through the calm...as I think of the youth camp, I see God and my heart is filled with joy and purpose and wonder at this God we serve!

It is undeniable, we met God at these camps, and there is so much more to share, and I am tempted to try to give it all, but I am aware that it is impossible since every day has its own story, every day carries the testimony of His faithfulness and love!

Now I would love to thank to all of those who supported us both in prayers and finances, we would not be able to do this without you. Your prayers carried us through from the beginning to the end! Thank you for allowing God to use you!

In the end I want to thank to my long term team, and they all know who they are. They were amazing and they made me so proud with their maturity, attitude of servanthood and eagerness to give their best and keep on giving even when tired, frustrated and overheated. They were my strength when going got tough! I will treasure our time together, our laughs, our cries, our prayers, and our work...especially sweet memories as set up time, rafting, excursion to Konjic, even scrubbing those blue mattresses and still laughing about it. You were amazing...thank you and it was my privilege to be part of your team!

Omladinski kamp 2009 (20.07-26.07)

“ŽIVOT SA SVRHOM”

Ove godine omladinski kamp je došao na red posljednji i ne znam kako ali i ove godine je bio najbolji do sad! Nekako nas Gospod uvijek uspije iznenaditi, pa tako i ove godine!

Na kampu nas je bilo 84 iz različth krajeva Bosne i Hercegovine i svijeta, uključujući i tim iz Južne Afrike i Amerike. Bilo je posebno vrijeme s bogatim programom, različitim aktivnostima, nevjerojtanim propovjedima i mnogobrojim prilikama gdje je Bog radio u n

ašim životima! Za jednog od nas je ovo baš bio poseban kamp, jer je u srijedu rano ujutro sklopio savez s Bogom kroz krštenje u vodi, a to je naš Amir iz Bihaća, mnogima znan kao „Fajko“.

Tema kamp je bila “Život sa svrhom”. Na kampu su s nama bili par dana i pastor McBath i njegova supruga, pastori crkve iz koje smo imali i tim ove godine. Kroz vrijeme koje su bili s nama možemo reći da ih je Bog obilno upotrijebio i blagoslovio nas koz njih i njihovu službu! Počeli smo u Ponedjeljak otkrivajući da svrhu za naše živote možemo naći samo u slavljenju Onoga koji nas je i stvorio i time nam odredio i svrhu, a to je naš Bog! Praktičniju primjenu dobili smo u jutarnjim radionicama gdje smo bili ohrabreni spoznati našu svrhu i smjer u životu kroz odnos s Bogom i otkrivanje naših strasti, talenata i iskorištavanje momenata i prilika koje se trenutno nalaze u našim životima!

Nakon što smo otkrili gdje da idemo da nađemo odgovore na naša pitanja, shvatili smo da jednom kad znamo da je naša svrha u slavljenju Boga, tada ne možemo ostati sami, izolirani i još uvijek rasti. Naša svrha se širi na zajedništvo , sto je i bila tema srijede kad nam je i Beki definirao istinsko zajedništvo i izazvao nas na dublji nivo prema primjeru našeg Gospodina!

U četvrtak smo govorili o učeništvu i kako je i naša svrha mijenjati se i biti sve sličniji Bogu te odražavati Njegovu slavu sve jasnije i jasnije! Ujutro smo govorili o tome kako se mijenjamo kroz nevolje i doline u našem životu i tu smo čuli dva svjedočanstva koja nikoga nisu ostavila ravnodušnima. Navečer smo slušali Andy Stanley-a koji je govorio o kušnjama i pauzi od par trenutaka koja nam je potrebna da se zaustavimo i izbrojimo što je na kocki i da ne padnemo, ne sagriješimo...i tako svaki put kad se odlučimo oduprijeti, mi rastemo, postajemo snažniji, postajemo Mu sličniji, hodamo čvršće, stabilnije na tom putu učeništva na koji se odlučujemo svaki dan, u svakoj odluci, svakoj kušnji i svakoj nevolji!

I došao je i petak i tema dana je bila služenje. Jutro je počelo sa najluđim talent show-om na svijetu, kojem nijedna OBN tv nije ravna. Naravno zvijezde show-a su bile voditeljice i žiri, dok s druge strane talenti među mladim ljudima su bile daleko od parodije pokazujući koliko toga nam je povjereno. Svatko od nas ima nesto, ruka na koju će se netko osloniti, pjesma koja će nekoga ohrabriti, riječ koja će nekoga ujtešiti ili možda vic koji će nekoga nasmijati!

Tema dana u subotu bila je misija, da smo pozvani da idemo i damo dalje sve ono što smo primili. Ujutro smo imali olimpijadu gdje smo se po grupama natjecali u dobokoumnim sportovima poput bacanje metle u vis, kamena s ramena, obori konzervu, pikado, puzla od stiha i tome slično. Nepotrebno je reci koliko je sve to bilo zabavno, ali i nagrađeno jer su troje najboljih u muškoj i ženskoj konkurenciji dobili i medalje na večernjem programu! Poslije dodjele medalja i slavljenja, Dina nam je podjelila o tome šta znaći ići s Bogom do kraja i šta znači da je On s nama do kraja. Bilo je to potrebno ohrabrenje za kraj i za sve ono što čeka svakog od nas kad se vratimo svojim kućama. Svjesni smo da je kamp jedna situacija gdje se ohrabrimo, podignemo, odlučimo neke nove stvari, te ispunimo novom nadom, ali onda slijedi pravi test, svakodnevnica gdje je sve to prokušano i gdje samo ono što je na čvrstim temeljima ostaje!

Poslije svake propovjedi imali smo vrijeme molitve i služenja, gdje su mladi imali priliku razgovarati s nekim od vodja, moliti se, isplakati se i biti ohrabreni za novi korak! Svaku večer vidjeli smo mlade koji su izlazili na molitvu dotaknuti rječju koju su ćuli i odgovarajući na poziv kojim su izazvani!

Ono što bi izdvojila i što smo mnogi primjetili jeste suvereno Božje vodstvo kroz program i teme, što nas je malo i prepalo. Iako su teme bile uredno poredane sačinjavajući jednu cjelinu kršćanskog života, ipak nekako u slijed događaja, naglasak kroz naše aktivnosti i propovjedi je otišao u nekom drugom, neplaniranom pravcu. Tako npr. iako je tema bila učeništvo, naglasak tog dana bio je na nevoljama i patnjama, slijedeći dan kad je tema bila služenje nekako je fokus ostao na slabostima kroz koje smo pozvani da proslavimo Boga. A šećer je došao na kraju kampa kad smo govorili o tome kako je Bog uvijek s nama dok idemo tamo gdje nas šalje, naglasili smo da to znači i progonostva koja nas čekaju. Tako, s pitanjem u mislima i opreznošću u glasu, i bez želje za prorokovanjem , pitamo se da li nama Gospod možda nešto govori, da li nas priprema za neko vrijeme koje dolazi gdje će se od nas tražiti vjernost, ustrajnost i vjera... i kroz slabosti, i kroz nevolje, i kroz kušnje a i kroz progonstva, i to na jednom potpuno novom nivou! Ne znam, ali znam da Bog govori svom narodu, i znam da Bog priprema svoj narod, tako bez straha i s vjerom zahvaljujemo Bogu za čuda kojima smo bili svjedoci na kampu 2009 i svim onim čudima koja dolaze i kojima ćemo tek da svjedočimo.

Youth Camp 2009 (20.07-26.07)

“Life with Purpose!”

This year we had youth camp at the end of all the camps, and not sure how but every year comes to be the best ever. Somehow God always manages to surprise us, and so it was this year as well!

At the camp we had 84 campers from different parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the world, including two teams we had from South Africa and US that came to serve during the camp. We had a really special time rich in program, various activities, unbelievable sermons and multiple opportunities where God worked in our lives.

For one of our brothers it was even more special camp, since he entered into covenant with God through the baptism in water, and that is Amir from Bihac, known to many as “Fajko” his stage name :)! Congratulations once again!

At the camp we had Pastor McBath and his wife visiting us from Virginia where they pastor the church we had a team with us serving at the camp this year. Through the time of their visit we can say that God used them abundantly and blessed us through their ministry.

The theme of the camp was “life with purpose”. We started on Monday discovering that purpose for our lives can be found only in worshiping God who created us and in that determined our purpose!

More practical application we received in the morning workshops where we were encouraged to understand our purpose and direction in life through our relationship with God and discovering our passions, talents and using every moment and opportunity that comes our way to act upon them.

After discovering where to go for answers, we understood that once we know that our purpose is to worship God, we can’t stay alone and isolated. Our purpose extends on fellowship, which was the theme on Wednesday when Beki defined true fellowship and challenged us onto deeper level according to the example of our Lord Jesus Christ!

On Thursday we spoke about discipleship and how our purpose is to change and become more and more like God in order to reflect His glory clearer and clearer!

In the morning we talked about being changed through troubles and valleys in our lives, and then we heard two testimonies that touched everyone present. In the evening we listened to Andy Stanley who spoke about temptations and the pause of few moments that we need in order to stop and count what’s on stake so that we are able to stand and not fall and sin. And so every time we choose to resist, we grow and become stronger, more like Him, more stable on our way of discipleship.

And then came Friday and the theme was service. Morning started with the craziest talent show ever with the craziest hosts and judge ever, but nevertheless talents among young people were far from parody, but on contrary just proof with how much were entrusted. Each one of us has something to give...maybe a hand that someone may lean on, or a prayer that will sustain, or a song that may encourage, or a word that will comfort, or maybe even a joke that will make someone laugh...we all have something to give!

Saturday theme was “mission”, we are called to go and to give what we have been given. In the morning we have Olympic Games where we competed in groups in deep thinking sports as are throwing the broom, darts, hit the can, puzzle and similar. Needless to say that we had loads of fun, but also there were awards, since the best three in both genders received the medals during the evening program. After medals and worship, Dina preached about what it means to go with God all the way, what it means that He is with us all the way, until the end.

This was a much needed encouragement for the end, and for all of that’s waiting for us when we get back home. We are aware that camp is the place where we get encouraged, lifted up, where we decide some new things, where we are filled with new hope, and then comes the real test, everyday life where all is shaken and only that which was built on the firm foundations remains.

After each sermon we had time of prayer and ministry, where many young people had an opportunity to talk to someone, pray with them, cry and just be encouraged for the new step. Every night we saw young people coming out for prayer touched by the Word they heard and responding to the challenge for change!

Something I would like to mention specifically and what many have noticed is the sovereignty of God through the program and its themes, which also got us some fright.

Even though our themes were neatly put together forming one basic truth from the Christian life, still somehow in the midst of events, emphasis in our sermons and activities took another, unplanned turn.

So for example, though our theme was discipleship, emphasis of that day was troubles and suffering, the next day the theme was service, but somehow focus remained on weaknesses through which we are called to glorify God. Icing on the top was the last day when we talked about God being with us as we go where He sends us, there we emphasized that often that includes persecution, and we must be ready for it.

So, with questions in our minds and reluctance in our voice and without any desire to prophecy, we wonder if maybe, only maybe God is speaking something to us, or preparing us for some time that’s coming where faithfulness, perseverance and faith will be asked from us through weakness, trouble, temptations, even persecutions, and persecutions on the whole new level.

I don’t know, but I do know that God speaks to His people, and I know that God prepares His people, so without fear and with faith we thank God for miracles we have witnessed at the camp 2009 and all those that are coming and we are about to witness in the future.

SLOBODA

Ove godine smo umjesto 2 tinejdžerska kampa- EC BiH i Misije, imali jedan zajednički kamp. Pred početak kampa imali smo prijavljenih više od 100 tinejdžera da bi nas na kraju bilo 84. Vjerujemo da je Bog smanjio broj na onoliko koliko smo mi u tom trenutku mogli ponijeti i da je doveo upravo one koji su tu trebali biti.

Imali smo tinejdžere iz različitih krajeva BiH i Hrvatske kao i timove iz J. Afrike, Austrije i Amerike.

Tema kampa bila je SLOBODA- Svaki dan smo obrađivali jedan aspekt slobode koja nam se nudi i ono sto mi mislimo da je sloboda a usvari vodi u zarobljenosti kroz koje mnogi od tinejdžera prolaze. Cilj nam je bio dotaći ona područja s kojima se oni danas najviše susreću i bore.

Počeli smo u ponedjeljak a uvodnu riječ dala je Vanja . Ona je govorila o slobodi i definirala samu riječ kroz priče poznatih ljudi poput Nelsona Mendele, Rose Parks, Majke Tereze i drugih koji su u svom zivotu i radu doprinjeli slobodi, da li u rasnoj nejednakosti, da li ropstvu siromaštva i bolesti, da li nasilju! Tu prvu večer osim uvodne riječi, imali smo i vrijeme grupa, upoznavanja, stvaranja himni i uglavnom sve ono što je potrebno da se otpočne ta avantura, zvana tinejdžerki kamp!

Utorak je tema bila SLOBODA I AUTORITET ! Govorili smo o slobodi koju tinejdžeri žele od poznatih autoriteta u svom životu, a to su roditelji, učitelji i država. U traženju te slobode oni postaju buntovnici i sve do donosi posljedice i umjesto slobode,ropstvo Ujutro smo imali specijalne goste iz policije iz Konjica i dotakli se glavnih problema s kojima se tinejdžeri bore. Jedna stvar koja nam je svima zaparala uši jeste da je najveći problem taj što oni žive u laži i neće da govore istinu i zbog toga tolike borbe sa autoritetima. Naveče je propovjedao Beki i govorio nam razloge našeg pobunjeništva kroz primjer iz svog života i Biblijske principe o autoritetu. Odveo nas je na sam početak priče gdje su se prvi „tinejdžeri“ (Adam i Eva) pobunili protiv Boga, te o mjestu gdje ih je to dovelo, a i nas kroz njih! Završio je priču opisujući put nazad s tog mjesta, o istinskoj slobodi koja nije u odbacivanju autoriteta nego prihvaćanju istinskog, Božjeg!

U Srijedu je tema bila SLOBODA I MORAL ! Govorili smo o slobodi koju tinejdžeri žele od ikakvog morala, vrijednosti i uslijed toga postaju zbunjeni u svom identitetu, što sve opet donosi posljedice u njihov život i onda opet u toj potrazi za slobodom, nalaze ropstvo.
Jutro je bilo u znaku radionica i svaka je grupa prošla kroz svaku rotirajući sa još jednom grupom. Jedna radionica je obrađivala temu apstinencije, sexa, hodanja i muško-ženskih odnosa. Druga identitet i važnost spoznaje tko mi jesmo u Kristu. Tu smo se dotakli problema koji se pojavljuju kad naš identitet je oblikovan drugim ljudima, kulturom, tradicijom i medijima. Neki od tih problema su poremećaji u prehrani, samoubojstvo, homsexualnost, nasilje i sl. Treća radionica je pokrivala internet i sve prednosti i nedostatke tog fenomena današnjice.
Naveče je propovjedao Adam iz Amerike. Podjelio je svoju priču s nama i govorio o teškom djetinjstvu, nasilnom ocu i povredama koje su ga zatvorile u samog sebe i dovele do ropstva nasilnom ponašanju i pogrešnim vrijednostima. Ali onda je podjelio s nama i svoje iskutvo s Bogom koji ga je oslobodio, iscjelio i dao mu nov život! Mnogi tinejdžeri su se mogli poistovjetiti s njim, što se kasnije i vidjelo po broju onih koji su izišli da traže molitvu i ohrabrenje!

U četvrtak smo obradili temu SLOBODA I OVISNOSTI. Nije nepoznato da mladi postaju vrlo lako ovisnici u svojoj želji da budu slobodni i da pomaknu granice postavljenje od strane roditelja i društva. Igraju se sa zabranjenim i prije nego shvate više ne vladaju sobom, postaju robovi te ovisnosti!
Ujutro nam je tim iz Afrike 'skuhao’ aktivnosti kroz koje smo prolazili cijelo jutro. Imali smo par stanica i na svakoj stanici po 3 aktivnosti. Koliko god da je sve to izgledalo preteško ☺ jer je svaka grupa nosila gredu cijelo to vrijeme sa sobom od kampa do plaže, od plaže do livade daleko iza kampa svi će dugo pamtiti ovo jutro koje se zvalo: 'GREDA'. Greda simbol bremena-ovisnosti s kojom se borimo i sve dotle dok to ne predamo Bogu to će biti naša borba koju mi ne možemo nositi niti u njoj pobjediti. Naveče je govorio Boro o svom iskustvu borbe sa ovisnošću, i o vratima kroz koja nije smio proći, a prošao je. Slikovito je objasnio da jednom kad otvorimo vrata ovisnosti, iza tih stoje još jedna, pa još jedna i svaka se zatavaraju za tobom bez mogućnosti da se vratiš, ali onda dolazi Bog koji izbavlja i otvara jedina vrata koja oslođaju.

Svako veče smo imali sapunicu koja je obilježavala taj dan. Koliko god da su te sapunice nasmijavale one su davala i stvarnu sliku naših borbi –ovisnosti. Mnogi su tražili molitvu to veče i vjerujemo da je Bog dataknuo mnoga srca i počeo da ih iscjeljuje.

I došao je petak, zadnji dan i tu smo se fokusirali na rješenje, odgovor na sva naša pitanja. Tema je bila SLOBODA I ISTINA, (Iv.8:32): ‘Upoznat ćete istinu, a istina će vas osloboditi'.
Ujutro smo imali finale-talent show sa profi žirijem koji će biti zapamćen po nastupu Slavice i Oskara☺ i turnir u odbojci sa vodenim balonima. Naveče je propovjedala Dina o tome da je sloboda upoznati i prihvatiti istinu i da istina oslobađa samo onda kada je upoznamo. SLOBODA JE DATI SVOJ ŽIVOT NAZAD BOGU. To veče smo poslije drame koju je izveo tim iz J. Afrike otišli u grupe da se molimo i mnogi su predali svoje živote Kristu! Nevjerojatan kraj kampa!!

Što se tiče ostalih aktivnosti, na kamu osim propovjedi svaki dan smo imali različite turnire, radionice, ekstremne igre poput ‘Greda’ avantura, zatim talent show i ostalo. Uglavnom ludo i nezaboravno!

I evo završio se i ovaj tinejdžerski kamp. Vjerujemo da su mnogi iskusili slobodu koju Krist daje i da je Bog radio ne samo u njima nego i u nama koji smo služili. Na neki način Bog nam je kroz ovaj kamp dao NADU za generacije koje dolaze. Imali smo tu privilegiju da nas Bog ohrabri kroz mnoge promijenjene živote. Povjerio nam je 84 života u koje smo ulagali. S nekima od njih se nastavlja rad s nekima trenutno niko ne radi. Sve što možemo jeste da se molimo za ova 84 života, da Bog nastavi raditi i oslobađati, da ON providi rast za njih i da nam da mogućnosti i prilike da i dalje sijemo u njihove živote. Nadam se da će se mnogi od nas ispružiti iznad svojih mogućnosti, imati pogled dalje od svojih ‘avlija’i usuditi se iskoračiti i doći do Livna, Mostara, Sarajeva, Jajca, Ploča, Sanskog Mosta, Bugojna, Čapljine itd, itd... Ispred nas je Njegova nova generacija a mi smo pozvani da je izmolimo.

FREEDOM

We had one teenager camp this year (Church and Mission without Borders camp) instead of two like we did in the previous year. Before camp started we had 100 children on our list, but at the beginning of the camp we had 84. We believe that God reduced the number knowing how much we can handle at that moment, and he brought those who needed to be there.

We had teenagers from different parts of BiH, Croatia, as well as teams from South Africa, Austria and United States.

The theme of the camp was FREEDOM – We have done one aspect of freedom every day which is offered to us, and what we thing freedom is but it actually leads us to bondage as well as many of our teenagers. Our goal was to touch many areas of their lives that they face and struggle with.

We started on Monday so Vanja gave the introduction. She spoke about freedom and defined the word through the stories of people like Nelson Mandela, Rose Parks, Mother Theresa and others that had contributed to the freedom in their lives and work, whether it was against racism, poverty, sickness or violence. The very first night besides the introduction, we had time in groups, creating group hymn, everything that is needed to start the adventure called teenagers camp.

Tuesdays theme was FREEDOM AND AUTHORITY. We spoke about the freedom that teenagers want from authorities in their life, parents teachers and government. In search for freedom they become rebellious, all of that brings consequences and instead of freedom they find bondage. In the morning we had special guests – policemen from Konjic that spoke about the main issues teenagers face today. The main problem is that they live in lies and they won’t speak the truth because they are rebelling against authorities. Beki was speaking in the evening about the reasons for the rebellion through his own example and Biblical principles of authority. He brought us back to the beginning of the story of the first “teenagers” that rebelled against God (Adam and Eve), and where that rebellion led them to (as well as us)! He finished the story describing the return to true freedom that is not in rejecting of the authority but accepting the true one – God’s authority!

Wednesday’s theme was FREEDOM AND MORAL. We spoke about the freedom that teenagers want from any kind of moral and values, so they become confused in their identity, and all of that bring consequences in their lives, and in that pursuit for freedom they find themselves in bondage again. Morning was full of workshops and every group went through each one of them. One workshop was about abstinence from sex, dating and male-female relationships. Second workshop was identity and importance of knowing who we are in Christ. We touched the issues like – how is it when our identity is formed by other people, culture, tradition and media. Some of these problems are food disorder, suicide, homosexuality, violence etc. The third workshop was about internet and all the advantages and disadvantages it brings today.
Adam, a friend from America preached that evening. He shared the story about his hard childhood, violent father and hurts that caused him to close from other people and bring him into bondage of violent behaviour and wrong values. But than he shared his experience with God who set him free, healed him and gave him new life! Many teenagers could identify with him, we saw it later on when they asked for prayer and encouragement!

Thursday’s theme was FREEDOM AND ADDICTIONS. It is well known that young people, in search for freedom become addictive, and they move the boundaries set by parents and society. They play with forbidden things and before they realize that they cannot take control of themselves they become the slaves of addiction!
In the early morning, the team from Africa “prepared” the activities that took us almost whole morning to work on. We had few stations and on every station three activities. As much as it looked hard ☺, (because every group was caring the beam from the camp to the beach, from the beach to the meadow outside of camp) we all will remember this morning called: 'THE BEAM'. The beam was a symbol of burden-addiction that each one of us is struggling with until we give it to God. Otherwise that will be our struggle that won’t bring a victory to us. Boro spoke about his experience with drug addiction, and about the door he went through but he was not supposed to. He explained that once we open that door, yet another one, and another will be opened, they will eventually be closed and there will be no possibility of turning back, but then God is coming to deliver us through only one door.

Every evening we had a soap opera for that day. As much as we were laughing about it, they were showing us a real picture of our struggles–addictions. Many asked for prayer, and we believe that God was touching the hearts and started to heal them.

Finally, the Friday. On our last day we focused on the solution, the answer to our questions. The theme was FREEDOM AND THE TRUTH, (Jn 8:32): “You shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.”
In the morning we had talent show – the final, that will be remembered by Slavica and Oskar performance ☺ and the volleyball tournament with water balloons. Dina was preaching that evening of freedom to know and accept the truth, and that truth sets you free once you know it. FREEDOM IS TO GIVE YOUR LIFE BACK TO GOD. That evening we went to pray in the groups and many gave their lives to Christ! What an end!!!

As for other activities on the camp we had, beside sermons, different tournaments, workshops, extreme activities like ‘The beam’ adventure and talent show. It was all together funny and unforgettable!

Teenager’s camp ended too. We believe that many have experienced freed which Christ gives, and that God was working in the hearts of the camper as well as in our hearts. In some way, God gave us the hope for the next generations. We had a privilege of being encouraged by God through many lives that were changed. He entrusted us 84 teenagers in which we invested our time. We will continue to work with some, but there are some that no one works with. All we can do is to pray for them, that God will continue to work and deliver them, to provide the growth and give us chances to saw in their lives. I hope that many of us will stretch beyond our possibilities, and look beyond our yards and dare to stretch beyond Livno, Mostar, Sarajevo, Jajce, Ploče, Sanski Most, Bugojno, Čapljina etc. His new generation is just in front of us and we are called to pray for them.

REPORT EB 2009 (dječji kamp MBG- kids camp MBG)

I ove smo godine imali priliku poslužiti djeci koja dolaze iz obitelji korisnika organizacije Misija bez granica. Za punovremeni tim i voditelje je ovaj kamp bila “milja dalje” u svakom smislu. Ovaj kamp je uslijedio odmah nakon dječjeg kampa ecbih tako da smo ponavljali program, ali sa malo više djece a manje vođa.

Imali smo 67 djece koja su došla iz Livna, Mostara i okolnih mjesta. Skoro sva su došla iz obitelji koje su u potrebi, tako da je priča sa svakim pojedinim djetetom otkrivala očaj i beznađe u kojem se nalaze. Ovo je za njih bio poseban tjedan – tjedan u kojem su osjetili da netko brine za njih, po prvi puta čuli da su posebni i da Bog želi da bude njihov prijatelj.

Tema kampa je bila prijateljstvo i kroz svaki dan smo učili kako Isus naš najbolji prijatelj nas prihvata, voli, daje nam darove, brine za nas i dijeli s nama. Stih kampa je bio iz Ivan 15:13 - “nitko nema veće ljubavi od ove, položiti život za prijatelje svoje”.Vjerujem da će stvari koje su čuli i doživjeli na ovom kampu biti svjetlo utočište i snaga da mogu izdržati godinu. Kad smo imali poziv mnoga su izašla naprijed da pozovu Isusa u svoje srce i osjetili su Božji dodir. Bog nam je bio vjeran na svaki način. Nije bilo nesreća, nismo imali problema sa bolestima ni prokislim šatorima usprkos ne tako lijepom vremenu.

Dosta djece nije znalo plivati, za neke je ovo bio prvi put da imaju priliku i pokušati. Sretni smo da se osmero vratilo kući kao plivači ali i za one koji su se opustili u vodi i dobili želju da uče plivati.

Večernji program se sastojao od životne priče koja je povezana sa temom dana tako da su djeca mogla čuti svjedočanstva volontera o tome kako su doživjeli da ih Isus, najbolji prijatelj voli, prihvata, brine za njih i daje. Tri večeri smo imali i talent show – kamp traži zvijezdu, u kojem su djeca mogla da pokažu svoje talente. Bilo je tu dobre glume, komedije, pjesama i plesa – na kraju je odlukom publike (tj. kampera) titulu zvijezde kampa odnio šestogodišnji Haris.

Kad se osvrnem unatrag, iako je ovo vrijeme kampa bilo zahtjevno i ponekad teško, pogotovo za punovremeni tim koji su uz sve obaveze održavanja kampa preuzeli dvadesetčetverosatnu brigu za djecu, zahvalna sam Bogu da imamo priliku da u našoj Dolini blagoslova služimo ‘najmanjima’ (ne samo po godinama) u našoj zemlji. Velika je privilegija predati Njegovu ljubav ovoj odbačenoj, siromašnoj i nevoljenoj djeci, te sam zahvalna sam Bogu da je baš nas odlučio upotrijebiti.

Again this year we had the opportunity to minister to children who come from families served by the organization Missions Without Borders. The long-term team and leaders for this camp went the extra mile in every sense of the word. This camp followed immediately after the kid’s camp for the Evangelical Church of Bosnia and Herzegovina. We repeated the same program only with a few more kids and less leaders.

We had 67 kids who came from Livno, Mostar and surrounding areas. Almost all of them came from needy families, so the stories from each child revealed the despair and hopelessness in which they find themselves. This was for them a special week, a week where they could feel that someone cares for them. Many for the first time heard that they are special and that God wants to be their friend.

The theme of the camp was friendship and throughout everyday we learned how Jesus our best friend accepts and loves us, gives us gifts, cares for us and shares with us. The Bible verse for camp was John 15:13 “Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.” I believe that the things they heard and experienced at this camp will be a bright sanctuary and strength that they can draw on throughout the year. When we gave the call for prayer many came forth to ask Jesus into their hearts and they felt God’s touch. God was faithful to us in every way. There were no accidents and we didn’t have any problems with sickness, nor leaky tents in the midst of less than good weather.

A lot of kids didn’t know how to swim, and for some this was the first time they had an opportunity to try to learn. We are happy because eight kids returned home as swimmers as well as for those who loosened up in the water and now have a desire to learn to swim.

The evening program consisted of life stories connected to the theme of the day, so the children could hear the volunteer’s testimonies of how they experienced that Jesus, their best friend, loves, accepts, cares for them and gives. Three evenings we had a talent show, Camp is Looking for a Star, where kids could show off their talents. There was good acting, comedy, singing and dancing and in the end by vote of the public (campers) six-year old Haris took the title of Camp Star.

Even though this time at camp was demanding and sometimes hard, especially for the long-term team, which along with all their responsibilities of maintaining the camp took on the 24-hour care of these kids, when look back I am grateful to God that we had the opportunity in our Valley of Blessings to serve the “least of these” (not only according to age) in our country. It is a great privilege to give His love to these rejected, poor and unloved children, and I’m also grateful to God that He chose to use us.

REPORT EB 2009 dječji (KIDS) kamp ECBIH

Tko je tvoj najbolji prijatelj? Pedeset i devet djece iz citave Bosne i Hercegovine na ovogodisnjem djecjem kampu Emek Beraka na Borackom jezeru naucili su da Isus moze i da zeli da bude njihov najbolji prijatelj!

Svaki su dan djeca kroz razlicite biblijske price ucili o Isusu kao prijatelju. Tako Isus je prijatelj koji prihvaca Mateja, omrazenog carinika. On je I prijatelj koji iscjeljuje stotnikovog slugu! On je onaj koji daje vid slijepom covjeku, i brine se za Lazara i podize da ga iz mrtvih! On iznad svega dijeli svoj zivot s nama kroz Njegovu smrt na krizu i uskrsnuce.
Naucili smo i da Isus zeli da budemo dobri prijatelji jedan s drugim, i primjere za to mogli smo vidjeti u istinitim pricama prijateljstva koje smo slusali svaku vecer!

U programu smo virtulano putovali sirom svijeta uceci o razlicitim zemljama: Keniji, Kamobodji, Dominikanskoj Republici i Kazahstanu. Svaki dan smo culi pricu o jednom djetetu iz te zemlje, naucili nesto novo o toj kulturi, njihovim navikama, jelu, igrama koje igraju, pjesmama koje pjevaju, itd. Nakon toga smo i pokusali igrati neke od igara, pjevati pjesme na njihovom jeziku i napraviti njihovu zastavu. Ono sto je bilo posebno u ovoj sedmici je vrijeme molitve kad su se djeca u svojoj djetinjoj vjeri, molila za probleme kao sto su siromastvo, droga, alkohol, bolesti te da bi im se Isus objavio kao njihov prijatelj!

Vecernji program se vrtio oko talent show-a “Emek Beraka trazi zvijezdu”! Bila je to citava lepeza talenata, od pjevaca i pjevacica, rap-a i break dance plesaca, do recitacija i komicnih predstava. Nakon tri veceri natjecanja i elminacija, 3 mlada momka iz Sarajeva su glasanjem publike odnijeli prvo mjesto i naslov zvijezda kampa Emek Beraka I kao nagradu besplatno ucestvovanje na tinejderskom kampu 2010! Drugo mjesto je osvojila curica s predivnim glasom, a trece skupina preslatkih princeza.

Zadnju vecer je padala kisa, ali unutar satora za sastanke bila je jedna posebna atmosfera dok su razlicite vodje dijelile svoja svjedocanstva o tome kako je Bog promjenio njihove zivote! Djeca su cula kako je Isus dao svoj zivot za njih, ustao iz mrtvih i sada zivi! Culi su i kako On nudi dar oprostenja za grijehe i ako prime taj dar, vjecni zivot!
Puno djece je izislo na molitvu, neki da prime Isus u svoje srce, a neki da se mole s vodjom za neke druge probleme koje su imali!
Mogla se osjetiti snazna Bozja prisutnost kako djeluje u njihovim srcima. Nastavite se moliti da Bog nastavi svoje djelo u njima i za odrzavanje kontakta sa lokalnim radnicima!

Jos nesto sto bi posebno izdvojili je "dernek" koji smo imali u Cetvrtak. Bilo je tu puno zabave i smijeha kroz skakanje na trampolinama, prelaska mosta od konopaca, vreca za skakanje i sumo hrvaca...te na kraju tijesta i hrenovki na rostilju! Nezaboravan dan!

Takodjer redovna zbivanja na kampu su aerobik, pjesme slavljenja, igre, kupanje u jezeru i kamperske duznosti, sto ukljucuje pranje sudja, wc i tuseva, ciscenje kampa i sl. Svaki dan smo imali i nagrade za najcisci sator, sto je uvelike pomoglo punovremenom timu na kraju kampa! Hvala kamperi!!!

Zadnji dan,bilo je tu puno tuznih lica, ali i obecanja i planova za slijedecu godinu. Mnogi su stvorili neka nova prijateljstva, ali ne samo jedan s drugim, vec i s najboljim prijateljem kojeg itko moze imati...Isusom!

Who is your best friend? Fifty-nine kids from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina at this year’s children’s camp Emek Beraka on the Boracko Lake learned that Jesus can and wants to be their best friend.

Everyday kids learned through different Bible stories how Jesus showed himself to be a friend. Jesus is the friend that accepts Matthew the hated tax collector. He is a friend that loves through healing the centurion’s servant. He is the one that gives sight to the blind man, and he cares for Lazarus and his family by raising him from the dead. Also He shares His life through His death on the cross and resurrection. Also we learned that Jesus wants all of us to be good friends to one another. Every evening we heard the true-life stories of friends who were there for each other in many different ways.

We also traveled virtually around the world learning about four specific countries: Kenya, Cambodia, the Dominican Republic and Kazakhstan. Each day we heard from a child in each of these countries, learned more about each country, what they eat, what games they play, what songs they sing, etc. Then we played some of their games, sang some songs and made some things including making little flags for each country. A highlight of this program was the prayer time we had for each nation. Children came forth and prayed with their childlike faith for the children in those nations, for solutions to problems such as poverty, drug and alcohol abuse, healing for sicknesses like AIDS and for God to reveal to them that Jesus can be their best friend too.

The evening program spotlighted Emek Beraka’s rising talents. From talented ballad singers, to break dancing and rap, from poem recitation and comic skits to dancing, we saw and heard some talented young people at camp. After three nights of preliminary competitions, three young men from Sarajevo with their comic revue took the title of Emek Beraka’s Stars 2009 and won scholarships for teenage camp for 2010. Runners-up were a young lady with a beautiful voice and a group of lovely dancing princesses.

The last evening was rainy, but quiet reigned inside the meeting tent as different leaders shared testimonies of how God changed their lives. The children heard how Jesus gave His life for them, rose again and now He lives. They heard how He offers them the gift of forgiveness of sins and eternal life if they will accept this gift. Many children came forth for prayer to let Jesus into their lives or to pray with someone for other needs. You could feel the strong presence of the Lord working in their lives. Pray that the Lord will continue His work in them and that local leaders will have opportunities to continue to minister to them.

Other highlights were a carnival with jumping castles, a sumo wrestling game, a rope bridge challenge and cooking bread, hot dogs and smores over an open fire. Also regular camp activities were aerobics, praise songs, games, crafts, camp duties (washing dishes after meals, cleaning the toilets and showers, cleaning the camp, etc.) and of course swimming in the lake. We also had a daily contest for the best-kept tent with prizes.

On the last day, there were many sad faces that camp had come to an end, but promises to come back next year. Many had made new friendships not only with each other, but also with the best friend anyone could ever have…Jesus!

Emek Beraka 2009 – Kamp za ODRASLE

Nakon priprema kampa i molitvenog kampa, sezona kampova Evanđeoske crkve zvanično je otvorena Kampom za odrasle.
I ove godine imali smo preko 100 ljudi na kampu za odrasle, od čega 45 odraslih, 45 djece i desetak članova punovremenog tima.
Vremenska prognoza za sedmicu u kojoj se održavao kamp bila je jako loša. Meteorolozi su najavljivali pljuskove sa grmljavinom kroz cijelu sedmicu. Nažalost neki kamperi su zbog vremenske prognoze odustali od dolaska na kamp. Ipak, uprkos prognozi, stotinjak odvažnih se okupilo u ponedeljak poslijepodne. Kiša je padala, večina šatora je propuštala vodu i situacija je izgledala poprilično beznadežna. Podigli smo glas u molitvi i zavapili Bogu, i tražili da zaustavi kišu. Utorak ujutro kiša je stala i do kraja kampa pala je još samo u dva navrata i to vrlo kratko 5- 10 min. SLAVA BOGU. U ostatku zemlje, cijelu sedmicu su bili pljuskovi i bilo je jako hladno. Čuli smo svjedočanstvo od brata koji je došao da nas posjeti iz Čapljine, da je kiša padala cijelim putem, a kada je došao na brdo iznad Boračkog jezera svuda okolo su bili tamni oblaci, samo je nad jezerom i nad kampom bilo vedro. Zahvalni smo Bogu što nas je blagoslovio takvim vremenom da smo mogli ostati na kampu.
Tema kampa je bila „Veliko poslanje“ Mt 28:18-20. Podtema za utorak je bila „Dana mi je sva vlast – ko je Bog“, za srijedu „zato idite“ – potreba za misijom, četvrtak „činite učenike“ – kako biti i druge činite učenicima, i u petak smo gledali na divno Isusovo obećanje „Ja sam s vama…“ Na jutarnjim sastancima smo imali kraće propovjedi i onda diskusiju u malim grupama, dok su večernje propovjedi bile duže sa pozivom na odluku i molitvu na kraju. Većina kampera su bili vjernici ali sa nama je bilo i par prijatelja koji nisu kršćani i imali su priliku da kroz propovjedi čuju poruku Evanđelja. Po povratnim informacijama koje smo dobili od njih, svi su bili dotaknuti i izazvani; nastavimo se moliti za njihovo spasenje. Propovjednici su se smjenjivali, tako da smo imali priliku da čujemo više lokalnih pastora i duhovnih radnika, kao i dvoje misionara. Na kampu nam se pridružio i četveročlani tim iz crkve „Grace Bible Fellowship“, i bili smo izuzetno blagoslovljeni prezentacijom njihovog dugogodišnjeg misionarskog rada u Indoneziji.
Uz obavezne jutarnje i večernje programe, svako poslijepodne kamperima smo nudili različite radionice, kao nprm : molitva, slavljenje, propovijedanje, upravljanje novcem, odgoj djece, brak i odnosi, misija, ples, pravljenje nakita, manikir… Radionice su bile dobro posjećene.
Na kampu smo imali i veliki broj djece, i zahvalni smo timu koji je radio sa njima za vrijeme trajanja programa. Njihova tema je bila „Ja nisam skakavac“ i govorili su o tome da iako su mali, Bog ih može upotrijebiti.
Tako, i ove godine, Bog nas je izuzetno blagoslovio na kampu za odrasle: vremenom, zajedništvom, propovjedima, grupama, radionicama, ljubavlju… Iako su ostali kampovi još u toku, mi već sa nestrpljenjem očekujemo kamp za odrasle iduće godine i pozivamo vas da nam se pridružite.

Emek Beraka 2009 - Adult Camp

After camp set up and the prayer camp, the camp season for the
Evangelical church was official opened with the Adult camp.

This year we had over 100 people at the adult camp of which 45 were
adults and 45 were children plus 10 long term staff.

The weather prognosis for the week of camp was very bad. The
meteorologists said that there would be heavy thunderstorms through
the whole week. Unfortunately some camper decided not to come because
of the weather report. But despite the prognosis a hundred brave ones
gathered on Monday afternoon. The rain fell and a majority of the
tents were leaking water and the situation looked relatively hopeless.
We lifted our voices in prayer and called out to God for Him to stop
the rain. Tuesday morning the rain stopped and to the end of camp it
only fell few more times for short periods of 5 - 10 minutes. PRAISE
GOD! In the rest of the country, for the whole week, they had heavy
downpours and it was really cold. We heard a testimony of one brother
who came from Capljina to visit camp that rain was falling the whole
trip and when he arrive at the top of the mountain that overlooks
Boračko Lake there were heavy black clouds all around except over the
lake and camp where it was clear. We are thankful to God that He
blessed us with good weather so that we could stay at camp.

The theme for the camp was "The Great Commission" Mathew 28:18 - 20.
Under that theme for Tues it was "All authority has been given to me -
Who is God", for Wednesday "Therefore go - the need for missions",
Thursday "Make disciples - how to be and help others to be disciples"
and on Friday we looked at Jesus wonderful promise "I am with you ...".
At the morning meetings we had a short talk and then small group
discussions while the evening talks were a little longer with a call
for decisions and for people to come for prayer at the end. Most of
the campers were believers but there were a few non-Christian friends
with us who had the opportunity through the talks to hear the Gospel.
From the reports we got back from them, they were touched and
challenged, continue to pray for their salvation. We rotated the
speakers so we had the opportunity to hear several local pastors and
Christian workers as well as two missionaries. Joining us for camp
was a four member team from Grace Bible Fellowship church and we were
a really blessed by the presentation about their long term missionary
work in Indonesia.

Besides the mandatory morning and evening programs, every afternoon
the campers were offered different workshops on themes such as:
prayer, worship, preaching, managing your finances, raising children,
marriage and relationships, missions, worship dance, making jewelry,
manicures, etc... The workshops were well attended.

At camp we also had a large number of kids and we are thankful for the
team that worked with them during the time of the program. Their
theme was "I am not a grasshopper" and they talked about how even
though they are small God can still use them.

So this year God really blessed us at the adult camp with the weather,
fellowship, preaching, small groups, workshops and love... Although the
other camps are still occurring we are already impatiently waiting for
next year's Adult camp and we invite you to join us for it!

Molitveni Kamp 2009

Molitveni kamp je bio nevjerojatan! Vodje i molitveni zastupnici iz razicitih krajeva nase zemlje dosli su na ovo mjesto koje mi volimo zvati “dolinom blagoslova”, da bi se molili I predali kamp I kampere u Bozje ruke kao platformu gdje ce se On objaviti na jedan nov I svjez nacin!

Molitveni kamp je trajao dva puna dana, od Petka navecer do Nedjelje ujutro, I plan nam je bio iskoristiti svaku minutu.
Citav kamp je bio u vezi putovanja i vaznosti odredjenih mjesta u nasim zivotima! Putovali smo s Ilijom (1 Kr. 17-19) od mjesta providjanja u petak, do mjesta pobjede u Subotu da bi u Nedjelju zavrsili s mjestom objave! Bilo je to vrlo uzbudljivo putovanje!!

Petak navecer Vanja Bule je zapocela s Ilijom kojeg nalazimo na potoku Kerit i u mjestu Sarafati, i tamo ucimo o Bogu koji providja u sred suse I to na vrlo neobicne nacine. Podsjetili smo se da pripadamo Bogu koji zapovijeda nasim okolnostima, ponekad cak i gavranovima, pa I udovicama, a u Novom zavjetu vjetrovima I moru! Takodjer smo bili izazvani da slijedimo primjer vjere I poslusnosti udovice iz Sarafate i da se odlucimo na davanje i u nasoj neimastini, jer uvijek jos dolazi! Kad sve sto imamo stavimo u Njegove ruke, On ce blagosloviti, slomiti I uciniti da pretekne!

Svaku noc smo organizirali molitveni lanac od ponoci do 6 ujutro, i culi smo mnoga ohrabrujuca svjedocanstva iz tih ranih jutarnjih sati slavljenja i zastupnistva! A onda u 6 ujutro, svi bi se zajedno skupili i odlazili u molitvene setnje po kampu, moleci se za satore, kuhinju, ured, mjesto sastanka, trpezariju, jednostavno stavljajuci pecat na granice nase zemlje moleci se za zastitu i ispunjenje Njegove volje unutar tih granica. U Nedjelju ujutro bila je posebna radost moliti se za zemlju koju smo nedavno kupili predavajuci je Gospodinu za upotrebu po prvi put! Svi prisutni su mogli osjetiti ogromno uzbudjenje razmisljajuci o nacinima na koji ce Gospod upotrijebiti tu zemlju na kojoj stojimo.

Subota je bila kljucan dan, ispunjen molitvom, slavljenjem i “mesnatom” Rijeci! Slijedeci Iliju dosli smo do planine Karmel, mjesta pobjede!

U subotu ujutro, Ronnette iz Frederickburga, dugogodisnji prijatelj, pricala je o Bogu koji se objavio u vatri i o njegovom proroku koji je stajao pred 500 Baalovim laznih proroka izazivajuci ih o njihovom bogu, i pred Bozjim narodom, izazivajuci ih o njihovoj kompromitirajucoj vjeri i zivotu. Razgovarali smo o vjeri koja je bila potrebna Iliji i koja je samo mogla doci iz duboke spoznaje o tome tko Bog jeste i tko je on u Njemu. Na kraju smo kao crkva u Bosni i Hercegovini bili ohrabreni da se ne bojimo, vec da se priblizimo Bogu, dublje upoznamo Njega i nas identitet u Njemu, jer tu lezi kljuc nase pobjede!

Poslije jutarnjeg sastanka i u vrijeme prije vecere Enisa je imala dva predavanja gdje nas je poucavala o zastupnickoj molitvi, iza koje je slijedila molitva za nedosegnute gradove, vodje postojecih crkava, kampere koji ce doci na kamp ove godine, pojedinacne kampove, njihove programe i vodje te punovremeni tim koji ce sluziti kroz citavo vrijeme kampova 2009! Bilo je to stvarno dobro vrijeme molitve, sto znaci da je Enisa napravila dobar posao! Hvala Enisa!
Navecer, pastor Sasa je govorio o Bogu koji se objavio kroz kisu! Ohrabrio je crkvu u nasoj zemlji da ne odustane, vec da ustraje, jer obecanje zasigurno dolazi! Takodjer je stigao naslikati svoju propovjed kao trajni podsjetnik ustrajnosti koja nam je potrebna da bismo primili ispunjenje obecanja!!

I dosla je Nedjelja, pastor Orin iz Oregon, US, propovjedao je o Ilijinom iskustvu na Horebu, mjestu objave i otkrivenja, gdje je Ilija vidio Boga na potpuno jedan nov i svjez nacin. Takodjer je govorio o pustinji koja je prethodila Horebu i tu je ispropovjedao svoje srce i zivot! Dok je dijelio s nama neka od mnogobrojnih pustinjskih iskustava u dugogodisnjem misonarskom radu medju plemenima u Irian Jayi, brzo je nadodao da ni za sta ne bi mjenjao nijedno od tih, jer u tim mracnim i usamljenim mjestima, upoznao je Boga na nacin na koji ne bio mogao nikako drugacije! Bio je vrlo zahvalan za pustinje jer u sred istih bio je Bog koji nas tamo susrece i izvodi pripremajuci nas za putovanje koje slijedi!

I putovanje koje je upravo ispred nas je kamp 2009, ali postoji putovanje za svakog od nas, kao i za crkvu u Bosni i Hercegovini. Nasa molitva je da cemo ustrajati dok putujemo od mjesta do mjesta upoznavajuci Boga, nas same i da necemo nikad, ama bas nikad odustati, uvijek ponovo upiruci pogled u Onoga koji je ustrajao tako da bismo I mi ustrajali i primili obecanje zetve dusa, ono za cim tako ceznemo!

Mi vapimo, “GOSPODE DAJ NAM OVU ZEMLJU!!! Hoces li zaustaviti ovo vrijeme suse i otvoriti nebo i uciniti da kisa spasenja padne na Balkan!!!”

Prayer Camp 2009

Prayer Camp was amazing! We had leaders and prayer warriors from all over the country come to this place that we love to call “valley of the blessing”. We came together to pray and commit the land and the campers into God’s hands as a platform where He will reveal Himself in a new and fresh way!

Prayer camp lasted two full days, from Friday evening to Sunday morning and we wanted to use every minute of it.
It was all about journey and places. We journeyed with Elijah (1 Kings 17-19) from places of provision on Friday, to place of victory on Saturday, just to finish at the place of revelation on Sunday morning! It was exciting journey!

Friday evening Vanja started off finding Elijah at Kerith and Zerapath and there we learned that God provides in the middle of the drought. We were reminded that we belonged to the Lord who orders our circumstances, sometimes even to ravens, or the widow, and also the wind and the sea in the New Testament! We were also challenged to follow the faith and obedience of the widow in Zerapath and give in our lack knowing that there is more to come!

Every night we organized prayer chain from Midnight to 6 AM, and we had many encouraging testimonies from those early hours of worship and intercession! Also at 6 am, we would all get up and go into the prayer walk around our property, praying for tents, dining place, office, kitchen, meeting place, just sealing the boundaries of the camp site and praying for protection and His will to be done within the same! On Sunday morning it was a special joy to pray for the new piece of property that we just recently purchased, dedicating it to the Lord for the very first time!
We all agreed that we felt enormous excitement thinking of the ways that the Lord will be using this land we were standing on!

Saturday was the key day, filled with prayer, worship and the “meaty” Word! Following Elijah we came to mountain Carmel, the place of victory!
In the morning, Ronnette from Fredericksburg, long time friend, talked about God who revealed Himself in the fire and also about his prophet who stood in the face of 500 Baal’s prophets challenging their god, and also in the face of people of God, challenging their compromising faith and lifestyle. We talked about faith that it took, that came only from the deep knowledge of knowing his God and knowing who he was in Him. We were encouraged as the church in Bosnia and Herzegovina not to fear but to get to know our God and our true identity in Him, since that it where our victory lies!

Following the morning session and just before dinner, we had time where Enisa Dedic taught us about intercession which was followed by prayer for unreached cities in our country, leaders of the existing churches, campers, specific camps and the long term team that will serve throughout the 2009 camp season! It was amazing time of prayer, obviously Enisa did an excellent job J!

In the evening, pastor Sasa talked about God who revealed Himself in the rain that comes as a promise received by those who persevere! He encouraged the church in this country not to give up, but to persevere, for the promise will come for sure! He also painted his sermon that will remain as a constant reminder of the perseverance that is needed in order to receive what is promised!!!

And then Sunday came, Pastor Orin from Oregon preached about Elijah’s experiences on Horeb, place of revelation place where he saw God in a whole new way. He also preached about the desert that led to Horeb! He preached his life and his heart out, and as he just mentioned some of the desert experiences he went through, he was quick to add that he would never trade it for anything, In those lonely, dark places, he met God in a way that he would have never met him in any other way! He was thankful for deserts for in the midst of the same there was God who meets us and leads us out, preparing us for the journey ahead of us!
And our most immediate journey is the camp journey 2009 and, but for each one of us there is unique journey waiting, as well as for the church in Bosnia and Herzegovina! Our prayer is that we will persevere as we move from the place to place learning about God, ourselves, and that we would never, never give up, always focusing on Him who persevered so that we can do the same and receive the promise of the harvest of the souls that we all so deeply long for!
We cry out, “LORD GIVE US THIS LAND!!! Will you make the drought season end and will you open the floodgates of heaven, and let the salvation rain on the Balkans!!!”

I invite you to join us in this persevering cry, and that walk up to the mountain until we see “the cloud as small as a man’s hand rising from the sea!!!” 1 Kings. 18:44

Nas drugi djecji kamp zavrsava sutra, i u ponedjeljak nam dolazi 98 tinejdera iz cijele BiH! Molim vas molite za punovremeni tim, za domor, snagu i radost da nam se obnovi tokom vikenda! Imamo dodatnih 10 vodja koji ce biti od velike pomoci, ali nam je potrebno Bozje vodstvo i mudrost za slijedecu sedmicu, jer nikad prije nismo imali toliku grupu tinejdera na jednom mjestu i vecina nisu vjernici!

Our second children camp finishes tomorrow and then on Monday we have 98 teenagers coming from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina! Please pray for the long term workers, for rest and strength and joy to be restored over weekend! We have additional 10 workers coming, which will be of great help, but we do need God's wisdom and guidance for the next week, since we never had bigger group of teenagers on one place and most of them are not believers!

WE CAME, WE SAW AND WE EXPERIENCED!!!

It's strange to think that year is over when we are actually only in September, but in the terms of the camps ministry it makes much sense. Ten days ago we were at the camp site cleaning up, putting tents down and spending last few moments as the long term team 2008.

Looking back we couldn't be more thankful to God for all that He has done. He is a faithful God, and we can say in all honesty that all we expected He has done, and more! And though having different programs in each of the camps, the underlying theme was clear and emphasized constantly, and that was DOĐI, VIDI, DOŽIVI, or COME, SEE, EXPERIENCE!

It was a journey that started June 9th and ended August 21st, and in between there was an overwhelming bounty of faces, backgrounds and stories coming together for a season and creating something new, a testimony of His provision, His grace and His mercy. If I had to single out one moment, person or a story out of these two and half months of camps, I would be in trouble, but here are some of the reminiscences.

As I look back, first that comes to my mind is the day when we arrived at the camp site and met as a team, some for the very first time. I remember wondering if camps are actually going to happen?? Aware of all impossibilities of our young team, suddenly doing together such a big project as a national camp did not sound as a good idea, but somehow day by day, from putting down the „cubes“ (I am the only one calling it this way J) for flooring in the eating and meeting place, to putting up tents, from connecting water, to reading Bible together and meeting to worship...somehow and somewhere in the process we became a team that will live 8 weeks in the tents, with 24/7 working hours, being stretched beyond known limits while crying, fighting, praying and serving together knowing that none of us was found there by accident.

There is also something special that happened. Every year again it's a struggle to keep up with devotional time in the midst of the camps...it's just so busy from the moment you open your eyes until the moment you crush in your bed. But since we had a young team this year, I knew it was a prerogative that we find a way to work it out. So, everyday we would get up before everyone, find the announcement board where scriptures for the day would be posted and then we would spend time on our own, then after that in our little groups discussing the scriptures we just read and only then our day would start. Almost everyone said, including myself, that that time early in the morning made major difference in their camp experience. We had amazing times!!

In our long term team we had representatives from 8 churches around the country and I pray that the very same churches, cities and lives are changed forever thanks to the summer of 2008 and encounter with the God of Emek Beraka.

During that preparation time, we also had our brothers and sisters from the US and national churches helping us out and carrying the burden with us. We would not be able to do it without you, and your example in love and servanthood was such an encouragement. THANK YOU!

Then there were six weeks of camps, more than ever before. We started this year with children. We had two groups of kids, and together exactly 120 of them, ages 6-12. They all experienced „Banana Island“ (this year kid's camp program) listening daily stories about Jesus and testimonies from the great men and women of faith that would come to us through the „Time Machine“ and share with us what they did to be known as “Bananas for Jesus!“ In our second week of kids camp, we had a some flue going around, but after couple of days of fever, it was all fine in the end. Almost half of those kids were at the camp for the very first time and a lot of them never heard about Jesus in such a way. Let's pray for the seeds sown!

Then we had two teen camps, one immediately following the second children camp and the second one in the very last week of our camp season. In both of those weeks, we had all together 79 teenagers learning about Joseph's life, his choices and struggles. Highlight of course was waking up at 5:30 with the sounds of trumpets and going for the race in teams, while conquering different obstacles and taking pictures as a proof (nothing leaving to case). In the end, as a group they had to learn one verse from the Joseph's story which was hiding in the bottle waiting at the finish line, which for most of the groups was in the lake. In the second week we had a team come from Germany to help out. They ministered through dramas and testimonies, but above all they managed to connect with teenagers, which made such a difference. We had an amazing prayer time last night, God has definitely touched hearts. There was a lot of goodbye tears in the end of these camps...

„The youth camp this year was the best one ever!!“ one girl told me, and I agreed, even though we say that every year, and somehow God always manages to surprise us with more. The theme scripture for this year was Isaiah 61, and each day the focus was on a different verse and different aspect of the inheritance that we do have as His children living in the Year of the Lord's favor. Though we only had a Sun for 3 days out of 7, though no showers for days, though we were running short of layers of clothes we tried to keep ourselves warm with....still this was the best camp ever. God has done something special and deep in and among us, and I can't wait to see what's coming around the corner for this generation as it becomes fully aware and accepts its call for such as time as this.

And finally, there is an adult/family camp. There we had 49 adults and 47 kids different ages. Without fail, every year again, during this camp, we feel as we are having all our camps together. We followed the theme from the youth camp but adjusted a bit to fit the needs and the group addressed. One of the biggest challenges was the lack of workers, especially male. Our South African team left and we did not have any team coming for this week, so we did feel the need for those able to minister. But in spite of that, God really touched many and many did respond to His prompting in stepping out during prayer times, making some new decisions, and I pray for God's protection and strength for living those out.

Once we finished our camps, we had a a week off and then the long term team met again in a familiar place called home for the last 2 months, but this time to clean up and put a closure on the camps 2008. We did not have a bull fall in a septic tank as we did last year, work went smooth, everyone was eager to finish as soon as possible. And then the last day we went as a team for canoe safari on the river situated just couple of hours away.

In the end I must say that many wondered if we will be able to make it as a team, and if we will be able to cary the load of the camps, but I am so thankful to God who made Himself strong through our weaknesses, and in His grace created a team that stood every challenge, sometimes stumbling, but never giving up. I am so proud of them, in spite of their youth, or inexperience, they were willing to learn, to forgive, to serve and to remain a team.

Thank you everyone, I had a blast being part of the long term team 2008!

These were our camps 2008! We had a great time. God has provided all the finances that it even ran over which will be of great use for the needs until the next camp. I thank God for protection over our lives and that through every sickness, bite, high fever, cold and rainy weather, He brought us through without consequences. Talking about bites...it didn't miss me (Vanja) this year, so I ended up again on antibiotics, but though it was painful, I must say that I often forget it even happened. It's God's grace!

Camp 2008 is done and all it really was is 20 long term workers, teams from South Africa, America and Germany, 370 campers from all around Bosnia, from every church around the country, from babies to grandmas, male and female, in one place, called Emek Beraka, Valley of the Blessing. THEY all CAME there, THEY SAW AND THEY EXPERIENCED all of this and so much more and we do say „ this was the best camp ever“!!!

Youth Camp 2008

There was 75 of us at the youth camp, from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina and further. Somehow this camp is always the place that God reveals His heart for the future, and it's understandable since those young people, ages 17+, are those who will be the main actors in what's coming.

Our theme was Isaiah 61 where it speaks about the year of the Lord's favor. The prophet is announcing the year when exchange happens between God and His people. Each day we focused on the different aspect of that exchange. The theme was throughout the day, so in the morning we would have a short word, movie clip or activity emphasizing the theme and then following that, time in the small groups which were amazing. Most of the young people enjoyed that time, willing to share their lives and ask for prayer. Some groups had to be forced to finish J!

Then in the evening there was a video clip about Dr. Zele and his famous team creating a humors version of the theme of the day. Also, each night we gave an opportunity for people to come out and receive the ministry and people responded, even few young people give their lives to Jesus. I really pray that God would seal those decisions and exchanges that happened throughout the week.

Here are some of the theme highlights:

Exchange #1. FORGIVENESS (Is. 61:1): We gave Him our mistakes, sins and regrets, and He gave us release from our guilt, forgiveness.

Exchange #2. FREEDOM(Is. 61:1): We gave Him our slavery to sin, different habits, past, unforgiveness, generational and national curses and He gave us freedom!

Exchange #3. HEALING (Is. 61:1): The we talked about healing, the exchange where we gave Him our sicknesses, broken hearts, pasts, dreams and allow Him that instead of that He brings healing and hope.

Exchange #4 INHERITANCE (Is. 7): We learned about our true identity and inheritance as new creations in Christ, those living in the year of the Lord's favor. We also learned that all we mentioned in the week so far is rightfully ours forever and that we are called to live in the fullness of it.

Exchange #5 JOY (Is. 61:2) In a exchange of our sadness, hopelessness and desperation, joy and and oil of gladness.

Exchange #6: RESTORATION (Is. 3-4): And the last night, we focused on God who desires and wills to bring restoration to our land. He calls us to be part of it, tools in His Restorer's hands, but only after we were restored, only after we have experienced all that He has to offer in the year of His favor, in the relationship with His Son. The prophet calls those people oaks of righteousness, tall, unwavering and completely aware of the call and responsibility. So instead of being called devastated generation, facing war in the next 10 years, we receive from His hand restoration in our lives, relationships and we go on to be those who will stand and rebuild ancient ruins, places devastated through the generations and we WILL be called „repairers of the broken walls“ (Isaiah 61:3-4, 58:12).

Now weather...I don't remember ever, ever such low temperatures like that week. We only had few warm days and the rest of the week was freezing. With no dry and warm place to go to, it was quite challenging, so it was common to see people walking around covered in multiple layers, blankets, sleeping bags hooping around, almost immobilized, but not caring as long as they were warm. Not to mention evening meetings when temperatures that were already low would drop even more, and then the rain would start, amazingly nobody missed evening meetings, got sick or other things you might expect in such conditions...we only looked as bunch of Eskimos that could not wait worship time in the evenings or aerobics in the morning just to start jumping and warm up. I am excited to say that everyone had a good attitude about it even finding joy in the midst of it. Funny thing was that after 4 days of such weather, it was Dina's turn to speak and her theme was JOY! We laughed about it, but then realized that finding joy in such times and places was only God's doing, and that day was a turning point. The next day Sun came out and everything went back to normal (camp normal of course J) as it was like that the whole week.

There is so much more to share about this camp, but it's impossible to do that. We also had a house of prayer where we had tremendously blessed time. Leaders and young people would gather daily and worship and pray and seek revival upon their lives, families, cities and land. We will definitely have it next year as well!!!

These were just the highlights, but all this to say, this was the best camp until now, and we are looking forward to the next one...and of course praying for the better weather this time! J

Teen Camps 2008

This year we had 2 teen camps, one made of contacts from Evangelical Church in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the other one from the organization Mission without Borders, based in Mostar. We had all together 80 teenagers attending those camps.

The theme of the both camps was Joseph’s life. Every day we focused on one aspect of his life:

IT’S NOT FAIR! : There are situations in life that often are not fair, just as it was in the case of Joseph and his brothers, but God is still on our side!

I AM AFRAID! : Joseph was a slave and experienced fear and loneliness many times, and sometimes we feel the same, but we can trust God that He will be with us in the midst of everything. Early in the morning that day, around 5:30 we had adventure where we divided in 3 groups that had to do 3 different activities. Each one involved many obstacles, running together, some tied up with closed eyes, and all in the end learning the scripture by heart. In the evening we had a night game that again exemplified to us the truth that God is with us in very situation as He was with Joseph.

GOOD CHOICES: regardless of everything choose rightly! Joseph was tempted to sin, but He stood strong and made a right choice. We talked about choices that are presented to them as teenagers and encouraged them to make the good ones.
YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE: Joseph has made a difference in the life of his family and the whole nation, and the message for teenagers was that each one of them is important in God’s eyes and that He has a plan for their lives. In the evening we talked about forgiveness and Joseph’s example in that. We shared about Jesus and how He made the way to the Father, in order that we can be forgiven. Then we closed with prayer! This year we focused on discussions in the small groups, so sermons in the evenings were not as long (except for the last night) but short with very clear message and the clear applications, empowered with activities connected with the theme of the day and personal testimonies. This year we had less teenagers per group and that also made a difference, and made connecting easier.

We definitely noticed difference between two camps, two groups of teenagers. The work in the small groups went much easier in the first teen camp, but then in the second we had a altar call and many came out asking for prayer and ministry which did not happen during the first week. This just proves how each camp is so unique, set up from totally different people and needs, and how God has a unique approach to each one. Our God is so versatile.

During the second teen camp we had help come from Germany. There was a team of 16, both leaders and teenagers who served in many ways, but mostly testimonies, facilitating workshops, dramas and connecting and sharing with teenagers. They even organized to meet up with the young people in Mostar after the camps, and many showed up.

We are so thankful to all that helped and served in the camps this year and all those who supported us in prayers. Even though the second teen camp was in the last week and everyone was very tired, we experienced supernatural nourishment of God, who “gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak!” Is. 40:29

In the end we are thankful to God for all He has done in the life of each teenager and leader, and as it says written in Gen. 39:2 “The Lord was with Joseph and the Lord gave him success in everything he did! We have preached that word, we have prayed it over our lives and camp, and we have experienced it first hand as the Lord lifted us up and lead us through finish line in joy and deep satisfaction as we closed not just this one camp but camps for the year of 2008!

Kid's Camp 2008

Kid’s Camp 2008

Sixty kids from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina came this summer to “Banana Island”, a magical place nestled in Boracko Lake with a time machine where Biblical characters visited. A place where games were played, challenges overcome, new skills learned and where we went “bananas” for God.

We split into six groups that were also workshops: Banana Artists, Banana Adventurers, Banana Reporters, Banana Sport, Banana Warriors (spiritual warriors, of course), and Banana Drama and Dance.

The last night of camp each group shared what they had learned during the week.

The Banana Artists had an exhibition of their pictures and plaster masks they had created. The Banana Drama and Dance group showed us a drama called Ashton and a dance to the song Our God is an Awesome God. The Banana sport group showed some field hockey maneuvers they had practiced. They had also organized a volleyball tournament with water balloon thrown by towels during the week. The Banana Adventurers showed us some rope knots they had learned and they also organized an iron-man type game for all the groups. The Banana Warriors helped out during worship and made the armor of God (Ephesians 6) out of aluminum foil and paper plates. Banana Reporters made a daily video report (7 day banana TV station) as well as a newspaper (Banana Page). They also made a panel of different photos they had taken.

Visitors from the Bible included Noah, Gideon, Elijah, Zacchaeus and Mary Magdalene. They shared their experiences how God changed their lives and they went “bananas” for Him.

A Caveman/women beauty contest, a missionary story around the campfire, a night game, and a quiz show mixed with a talent show were just some of the activities at this camp. We also went to the Boracko Lake everyday and about seven kids learned to swim for the first time.

The camp went for five days and as always good bye was difficult and tearful, but as for us, leaders we were excited to see all the things God can do when we give ourselves to Him.

Something we would like to especially emphasize is a 7 year old Muslim boy saying to his parents that before camp he thought that there was no God because of all the bad things happening in the world, but now that he knows that God exists. Also, he is trying to convince his much older brother to come to the youth camp telling how wonderful experience that will be for him. Amazing!!!

What more to say but that God was among us and we are yet to see and hear all the things that happened last week!

…As I stand back, I am amazed to see the testimonies of the impact of the camp ministry on every level in the church of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is the place where the church comes for the Holy Convocation time. It is time where families, children and youth hear the gospel in words and life. It is the time when sweet fellowship is enjoyed and some relationships restored. It is the time when leaders of the church can have some coffee time together, share their vision and struggles. At this point in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the camp ministry is the only ministry that builds the Church at large in one place and in the same time.

Therefore, it is worth investing in it, and so let’s start by praying for Emek Beraka 2008…

Clean-Up Camp

Someone said that "Teamwork is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results" and that was what we experienced during the clean up of 2007 camps. The task was beyond our capacity, numbers and knowledge but together we did it. We had greatly appreciated help come from few churches, who did everything from welding, cementing, lifting, taking down, putting up, moving, stacking and a lot of, lot of organizing. I want to thank them all for all their hard work, willingness to serve and always go the next mile, even when it felt more like crawling! One thing is sure, we laughed a lot through it all and at all times stood in awe at God's faithfulness and protection in each second of every day.

It seems like yesterday when I was writing to you asking for your help and prayers for the camps 07, and here we are now at the other side of the whole thing. It has been couple of weeks since the camp finished, but once you experience camp Emek Beraka it never quite leaves you. It has this ability to stick with you, change you and even stir an appetite for more! At the end of the EB 2007, I can honestly tell you that I have never been hungrier for more, not camps, but of God of the camps, of God who chose that place to meet with us, stick with us, change us and stir an appetite for more! I did mention that I really love camps, right?!

Ok, now prayer report! I know I said that we will try to keep you updated about the needs and happenings! Well, it did not happen exactly as we planned, so our “what’s happening” turned into “what has happened”. I am sorry about that, but this is our first year with the blog and we are still learning to juggle hi-tech communication with camping in the middle of the mountains of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Thank you for your patience!

Now I want to tell you that your prayers have made all the difference in the world this year! It was amazing and I don’t know how many times I stopped and was reminded of the shield that’s around us. Your prayers were visible in the weather that was perfect this year, daily activities, during programs, divine appointments, protection, both physical and spiritual, unity on every level, sweetness of fellowship, depth of the experiences with God and stirring of the call that’s laid on this generations, and I can go on and on about how we would not be able to do this without you! But let me give you the highlights on the prayer needs I posted at the beginning of the camps!

Protection! Just to show how real this all was, during teen camp, we had almost 2 boys drowned, but in the last second they were taken out by the leaders! I can not even begin to imagine if something happened, what that would mean to the camp ministry and the church in this country. We all have shivered at the thought, but our God has a last say, and He had watchmen on the wall, alert and ready! Thank you!
Weather! It was very cold and rainy before we went for the set up and we were concerned that it might impact the plans and program, but then the day we stepped on that ground, temperature has changed and when it reached about 45 C, I wanted to write to you to stop praying so we can cool of a bit! J God is good!
Team/Leaders!

Unity! I know only God could make unity among all those different cultures, backgrounds and personalities! God has truly made us a team! We had a great time working together!
I also asked you to pray about communication and against confusion between leaders and I can tell you that the Lord has heard your prayers!
Protection and health of the leaders and team members! Beside “regular” spider/insect bites, sore throat, and being weary at times, we were all happy campers most of the time enjoying every moment and already missing camps before it was finished!
Specific Camp leaders! They did an awesome job! Thank you Slavko, Jelena, Dina, Enisa and Pam!

Vanja!You prayed for…

* For strength, wisdom and time to finish all that is required!
* For the prayer camp that she is helping organize!
* For the youth camp; for the program and workers!

…and it all happened, more and better than what I expected!! It was an amazing camp! I felt as I was carried along, I finished this camp a bit tired but much more excited about what we have experienced and what’s there awaiting for us! Thank you for your prayers! There were so many moments and circumstances that were beyond my experience and knowledge and even strength but as I said I was carried through and before I knew it, it was done!

Finances! This year the standard has been raised across the board. That includes the living conditions, new tents and mattresses, also toilets and showers, eating and meeting tents and of course coffee houseJ! I can say that God has been faithful, there were times when I wondered if we will make it, but we did! Though I must say, at the moment we are trusting God for some extra costs like making a warehouse and fence around our land.

Technical Things

We have built a lot of new facilities and it was amazing how it all worked out! Just perfect! We have bought 50 new tents, and though we did lose few this year, we still have a good quality tents for the next year! We did not experience any major problems with any of the things! Everything worked just well!
Though we did have some problems with shortage of water, our water heroes Detlef and Jones (South Africans) and our local specialist Schmit made sure we were almost never without it! And if that has happened there was always Marin and Misija and water containers being filled directly at the source! Thank you guys!

Church of Bosnia and Herzegovina

Church in transition! I asked you to pray for the Church since it is in the place of a lot of changes and what a time Church had at the camps! At the camps Church stopped faced with the decision and took a turning point! I can’t wait to see what’s coming!
Leadership of the Church! It was such a joy to see leaders of different churches, even different parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina coming together. First in the set up laboring physically next to one another and then later on during the camps seeing them coming closer through prayer, coffee time, laughter, worship and sharing. Something new is in the air, something good!

Finally I want to thank you all for your faithfulness and your time invested in this ministry! And I will repeat that your prayers have really made all the difference! I hope this report gave you a feel about how much and how real it was! I hope you will continue to follow us and support us, because the best is yet to come! Also I want to thank to all who helped us financially, all the individuals, churches and organizations. THANK YOU!!! Thank you for your obedience and faithfulness with your finances, otherwise we would be in big trouble! And now finally, I want to thank all the workers and volunteers, teams and all those who left their sweat in that camp ground…THANK YOU! Family Camp

There were 90 adult campers and 57 children on the camp for adults and families. Along with the 14 members of the long term team the total number of people on camp was 161. The youngest camper was just 2 months old and the oldest 68 years.

The theme of the camp was “Festivals of the Lord” (Leviticus 23 & 25). We studied what these festivals meant to God’s people then, and looked at how some of them are completely fulfilled in Christ Jesus, and how the fulfillment of the others will come with the second coming of Christ. Some of our unconverted friends were also on the camp, and because of them, some of the sermons were evangelistic. During camp 5 of them gave their lives to God. PRAISE GOD

Because of the large number of children, we organized a children’s programme too, so the children enjoyed games, adventure activities and bible stories.

We are thankful to God who blessed us through this week, that we could grow in love towards Him and each other. We are thankful to Him for the converts. Pray for them and for those who heard His word on the camp but haven’t yet given their lives to God.

Na kampu za odrasle i porodice prisustvovalo je 90 odraslih kampera i 57 djece. Uz 14 članova punovremenog tima ukupan broj ljudi na kampu bio je 161. Najmlađi kamper bio je star samo 2 mjeseca, a najstariji 68god.

Tema kampa su bili “Praznici Gospodnji” (Levitski Zakon 23 i 25). Proučavali smo šta su ti praznici Gospodnji značili Božjem narodu onda, gledali kako su neki od njih u potpunosti ispunjeni u Kristu Isusu, a kako ispunjenje drugih dolazi sa drugim Kristovim dolaskom.
Na kampu je bilo i naših neobračenih prijatelja, pa su zbog njih neke od propovjedi bile evangelizacijske. Za vrijeme kampa 5 njih je predalo svoje živote Bogu. SLAVA BOGU

Zbog velikog broja djece, organizovali smo i djecji program, tako da su i djeca uživala u igrama, avanturama i biblijskim pričama.

Zahvalni smo Bogu što nas je blagoslovio kroz ovu sedmicu, što smo mogli da rastimo u ljubavi prema Njemu i jedni prema drugima. Zahvalni smo mu i za obračenike, molite se za njih, kao i za one koji su na kampu čuli riječ a još nisu predali živote Bogu.

Teenager Camp

“I Have a Choice!” was the theme for Teenager’s Camp. We had around 65 teenagers from all over Bosnia and Hercegovina, and for some of them, it was their first time at camp. Each day had a theme which centered around choices they face in their lives: general choices, choices they make in relationships with other people, and the most important choice of choosing the Lord.

We spoke about having vision and dreams for the future, education, healthy living, hygiene, and addictions. A few evenings the message had an evangelistic focus, and many came forward for prayer.

We had a variety of activities during the day which were connected to the themes. There were practical workshops on topics such as: drama, hockey, knot tying, balloons, worship, dance, and many sports activities. The teenagers were able to demonstrate what they learned at these workshops at an evening Talent Show. We had a movie night and watched “Spiderman 3” using the themes of the film, such as forgiveness and pride, as a platform for group discussions. The last full day of camp, the teenagers enjoyed a type of obstacle course called “Games Without Borders”. As you can see, the program was very diverse and exciting. We can’t wait for next year!

Thank you all for carrying us in your prayers. We could see and feel God’s protection over the whole camp. Please continue to pray for the teenagers, that the seeds planted – the words which they heard – remain and grow. Please pray for the churches who work with these teenagers. This past year God has shown Himself faithful, and we are sure that He will finish the work which He started.

‘Ja imam izbor’, bila je tema tinejdzerskog kampa. Imali smo oko 65 tinejdzera iz cijele Bosne i Hercegovine. Neki od njih bili su po prvi put na kampu.

Svaki dan smo govorili o izborima koje donosimo u zivotu, o generalnim izborima, o izborima koje imamo u odnosu sa drugum ljudima i o onom najvaznijem izboru DA SE ODLUCIM ZA GOSPODA.

Imali smo dosta avantura koje su bile vezane za temu kao i igre bez granica, razlicite prakticne radionice: drama, hokej, cvorove, balone, slavljenje i ples i puno sportskih aktivnosti. Ono sto smo ucili I radili na tim radionicama pokazali smo kroz talent sou. Jedno vece smo gledali film Spajdermen 3 i imali dobre razgovore u grupama. Govorili smo i o razlicitim ovisnostima, o snovima-o tome sta zelim u svom zivotu, obrazovanju, zdravoj ishrani, higijeni…Par veceri imali smo evangelizaciju i molili se za one koji su izasli na molitvu.

Program je bio raznovrstan i uzbudljiv-JEDVA CEKAMO SLJEDECU GODINU!!!!

Children's Camp/Djeciji Kamp

Over 100 kids from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina came to kid’s camp this year, a 113 to be exact! At first it seemed overwhelming, but God was faithful (as He always is) and we had a great time. Our days were packed with fun and challenging activities, such as swimming at the lake, rope-course adventures, a picnic with a cookout baking bread and roasting hotdogs on a stick, volleyball, soccer and ultimate Frisbee tournaments, team-building games, singing, crafts, Electric Slide lessons, etc.

In the evenings, kids watched and participated in a program called Kid’s Quest. Each night had a different theme such as: sin separates us from God, but God loves us so much He found a way to bring us together, there are consequences for breaking God’s laws and Jesus gave everything because He loved us so much. These themes were reinforced through clown skits with our clowns Bobo and Lili, illusions, a Bible story portrayed through a drama and a memory verse. Also every day kids received an issue of the PowerMark comic strip with a super hero and a group of kids on a quest for the truth. In addition to this program, we also had a drama night, night games, Campovision (a song competition based on Eurovision) and watched the film Spiderman 3.

We saw God work in the lives of these children and believe God’s promise that what was sown in their hearts is not in vain (Isa. 55:10-11). Please pray with us that God will continue what He started in their lives and for children’s work in BiH, because if God can reach this generation the future of BiH will be brighter.

Preko stotinu djece je došlo iz različitih mjesta u BiH na dječji kamp ove godine, 113-ero tačno! Na početku, to se činilo malo previše, ali Bog je bio vjeran (kao i uvijek) i imali smo divno vrijeme. Dani su bili puni zabavnih i izazovnih aktivnosti, kao na primjer plivanje na jezeru, avanture s konopcima, izlet gdje smo pekli hrenovke i kruh na štapovima na vatri, turneja nogometa, odbojke i frisbija, igre za izgradnju tima, pjevanje, umjetnost, čas američkog plesa koji se zove „Electric slide“ itd.

Navečer, djeca su gledala i učestovala u programu koji se zove Kid's Quest (Dječja potraga). Svaka večer je imala drugu temu, npr. Grijeh nas odvaja od Boga, ali nas je On toliko ljubio da je našao put da nas spoji zajedno, postoji kazna za kršenje Božjih pravila i Isus je dao sve što je imao jer nas je jako volio. Ove teme su ponavljene kroz skečeve naših klaunova, Bobo i Lili, iluzije, biblijske priče koja se pokaže kroz dramu i pamćenje stihova. Također, djeca su primila novi broj stripa Moćni Mark sa superherojom i grupom djece u potrazi za istinom. Pored programa, imali smo večer drame, noćne igre, Kampovizija i gledali smo Spiderman 3.

Vidjeli smo kako je Bog radio u životima ove djece i vjerujemo u Božje obećanje, da što smo posijali u njihovim srcima nije uzalud (Iz 55:10-11). Molite se s nama da će Bog nastaviti raditi što je On počeo u njihovim životima i za dječji rad u BiH, jer ako Bog može dosegnuti ovu generaciju, budućnost BiH će biti bolja.

Youth Camp/ OMLADINSKI KAMP

“I WANT MORE!”

This was the theme of Youth Camp this year, which has just come to a close after a week full of activities. Each day 56 young people from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina were challenged to pursue more in their relationships with God, in their relationships with others, and in their own personal development. They were challenged to live with higher standards, to seek more of God, to forgive, to embrace the call of God on their lives, and to pursue more in all areas of their lives.

It was amazing to see the faithfulness of God every day challenging the hearts of the youth and moving them to respond to Him. Each night, during the main service, many youth came forward and received ministry in response to the message preached that day. Several committed their lives to the Lord for the first time! Praise God!

During the day teams competed in volleyball and field hockey. They worked through various teambuilding “adventures” challenging them to grow in areas like perseverance, communication, and trust. The adventures ranged from lifting each other through a web of ropes, listening and following their “shepherd’s” voice while blindfolded in a field, to rock climbing in a canyon!

Thank you everyone who covered this camp in prayer! Praise God for His faithfulness in touching the hearts of the campers (and the staff, as well!)! Please continue to pray for the youth as they are returning to their homes. Pray that He will continue to draw them to Himself and that the seeds planted in their hearts will take root and grow. Praise Him for all that He accomplished at this Youth Camp for His glory!

“HOCU VISE!!”

Ovo je bila tema omladinskog kampa ove godine, koji je upravo zavrsio nakon sedam dana punih razlicitih aktivnosti. Svaki dan 56 mladih iz razlicitih dijelova Bosne i Hercegovine su bili izazvani da traze vise u svom odnosu s Bogom, s drugima i svom licnom razvoju. Takodjer su bili izazvani da zive po visem, odnosno Bozjem standardu, da oproste onima koji su ih povrijedili, i da prihvate Bozji poziv jednostavno trazeci vise u svakom podrucju svog zivota.
Bilo je predivno vidjeti kako je Bozja vjernost svaki dan izazivala srca mladih ljudi poticuci ih na promjenu. Svaku noc tokom sastanka, mnogi su izlazili naprijed da prime molitvu kao odgovor na poruku koja se propovjedala taj dan. Nekoliko njih se i odlucilo predati zivote Kristu i zato smo stvarno zahvalni Bogu! Aleluja!
Tokom dana timovi su se natjecali u odbojci i hokeju. Prolazili su kroz razlicite “avanture” i tako se izgradivali i rasli u komunikaciji, ustrajnosti i povjerenju. Avanture su bile razlicite…od prolazaka kroz paukovu mrezu, slusanja i slijedjenja “pastirovog” glasa, gradnje tornja od gajbi, do penjanja u kanjonu!
Hvala vam svima koji ste pokrili ovaj kamp u molitivi! Hvala Bogu za Njegovu vjernost i za sve sto je napravio u srcima kampera i radnika. Molim vas molite se za mlade dok se vracaju kucama. Molite se da Bog nastavi da ih privlaci k sebi i da se sjeme koje je posijano u njihovim srcima ukorijeni i raste.

Prayer Camp/Molitveni Kamp

It's often said in our culture that you can tell day by the morning, and since the prayer weekend
was our first camp we knew we are about to experience the best camps ever.

This prayer weekend was amazing, and we all stand in awe of God and His works. It started on Friday evening, June 29th and lasted until Sunday, July 1st, just one day before we had young people come. We had 67 leaders come from all over the country to pray for the camps, but also the Church and the country. We have all become aware that this year is different than any other year and that we stand in the crossroads asking God for direction. We came to this prayer weekend desperate to hear from God, and God was faithful.

The first thing that comes to mind is wake up call for His church in this country. God sounded the trumpet for all those who hear to return to Him, to get ready, get sanctified and position themselves for the battle. We started with reminding ourselves that we are the branches and that He is the vine and that we must remain in Him if we intend to bear fruit. At the end of that first evening, we all had to pick a stone and write a promise from God on it. Early the next morning we were awakened by the sounds of a shofar calling for all to assembly in the centre of the camp site where starting from the pastors, we laid our stones building the altar
as a memorial of the place we came from and the place where God is taking us from here. It was a turning point, a mark in this broken and ravaged land saying this is a different day and from this point on, no day will be the same again. History will never be the same again, because of His promises and because of all of us who said YES and are ready to go all the way!

On Saturday morning, the word of the Lord came from the book of Amos that God is setting the plumbline among His people measuring their lives, families and ministries according to His standard of the Divine plumbline! It was a a strong word calling us to raise our eyes to the only unmovable thing and line up in order to be tested and be found standing. The afternoon was spent in prayer groups covering the map of Bosnia, focusing on specific cities with churches and those that don't have churches. We prayed for the long term team and in the end we gathered and prayed for the pastor and the leaders.

Something deep and transformative happened during that time as we all stood around our leaders soaking them in prayer. The river started to flow -- the one of repentance, love, encouargment and support and it covered them as a banner. What a sweet, sweet time we had! We all knew that the living God was among us, setting the firm foundation for what's coming!

And then came the evening. Everything that was building up just exploded in those few hours. We were reminded of all that we heard from God in last 2 days and as people of Israel in Joshua 24, we still had to make a choice whom shall we serve. Suddenly Emek Beraka "Valley of the blessings" 2 Chr. 20, has become for all of us "the valley of the decision" (Joel). God has sounded his trumpet calling His warriors to step up and become aware of the war that is waging for the souls, cities and regions! The only disqualfying thing to be a mighty man or a woman of God,
as we could see in Gideon's story, was fear. Fear to let go, fear of people, fear of change, fear of failure, fear of losing control...fear that makes us stop and stoop back and let the harvest pass by us. Oh no....all of us who were present on Emek Beraka prayer weekend 2007 have determined that we will not be found among those since we are of the ones who do not shrink back but of the ones who presevere and finish the race.

At the end of the message worship just broke out inviting the King of Glory to come in with 4 pastors standing on the 4 corners of the meeting tent proclaiming the Lord's Kingship over the recently bought property and setting it apart for His use. It felt like the heaven opened up as we sang from the top of our lungs "Christ you are the King over all Bosnia and Herzegovina"!
We finished that evening with walking around four sides of our camp property and anointing it while praying and worshiping. Sunday morning service was nailing down everything we experienced during the weeekend, and we crowned it all with the baptism at the lake.

This generation has a task and during this weeekend we heard it all once again afresh and somehow everything in us wanted to line up and be part of what's coming. We could feel it is close, it is huge, it will overflow, and camps are in the midst of it...Talk about being excited about this year camps!

Preparation Camp/PRIPREMA KAMPA

It was hard to believe Preparation Camp was over when the first campers started arriving for Prayer Camp. The workers didn’t know what to do with themselves! During Preparation Camp, the mornings often started at 5am in order to put in several hours of work before the heat of the day. After cooling off at the lake, the work continued until the sun set….and sometimes even after that!

In eleven days, the camp was absolutely transformed! We would like to thank all the teams and leaders that came from the churches from all around Bosnia and Herzegovina to invest their time and talents into setting up the camp. We would not be able to do this without you! Also, we must thank the team from the U.S. (Arizona) who came and constructed beautiful new shower and bathroom facilities that are a huge step up from previous years. Thank you so much for investing in these camps and the Kingdom of God in Bosnia and Hercegovina!

For nearly all that was constructed and set up for this year’s camps, the standard has been raised. The bathrooms and showers have already been mentioned. The meeting tent is brand new (constructed during the camp) and holds many more people. The eating tent is a more solid structure holding more people. The kitchen has a new floor and ceiling, fresh paint and dishwashers. The café looks absolutely amazing! And these are only some of the improvements.

The raised standard of these camps which is so evident in the natural we believe coincides with what the Lord is doing in the spiritual. He is raising the spiritual standard for these camps and for the church of Bosnia and Hercegovina. Amen!

The dedication, diligence and sacrifice of all the workers was surely a pleasing offering to the Lord. He definitely answered our prayers for unity among the workers. There was some very sweet fellowship and laughter alongside the labor and sweat! Praise God for that! His presence was here (and still is!!).

Pripreme
Bilo je tesko vjerovati da su pripreme gotove kad su dosli prvi kamperi na molitveni kamp. Radnici nisu znali sta bi sa sobom! Tokom priprema pocinjali bi dan u 5 ujutro tako da bi mogli nesto i napraviti prije velikih vrucina koje bi vec nastupile oko 10 sati. Nakon sto bi najtopliji dio dana proveli pokusavajuci se osvjeziti na jezeru, rad bi se nastavio sve dok se moglo vidjeti a ponekad i duze pod svjetilima reflektora!

U jedanest dana, kamp je bio u potpunosti transformiran! Voljeli bismo se zahvaliti svim timovima i vodjama iz razlicitih crkvava iz BIH koji su dosli i ulozili svoje vrijeme i talente za izgradnju kampa. Bez vas ovo nista ne bi bilo! Hvala! Takodjer, moramo zahvaliti timu iz Amerike (Arizona) koji su dosli i pomogli nam postaviti nove WC-ove i tuseve koji su veliki korak od onih proslogodisnjih. Hvala za sve sto ulozili u ovu sluzbu kampova i Kraljevstvo Bozje u Bosni i Herzegovini!

Zanimljivo je da se je postavljen visi standard za sve sto se napravilo ili postavilo za kamp ove godine. Wc i tusevi su vec spomenuti. Sator za sastanke je potpuno nov (napravljen tokom priprema! Hvala Remi!!!) i moze primiti puno vise ljudi. Trpezarija nije vise sator nego konstrukcija koja je puno stabilnija i takodjer prima vise ljudi tako da mozemo svi jesti u jendoj grupi. Kuhinja ima novi pod, svjeze obojane zidove i 3 masine za sudje. A kafic izgleda apsolutno nevjerojatno! I ovo su samo neke od promjena nabolje! Podignut standard ovih kampova koji je tako ocit u prirodnom, mi vjerujemo da odgovara onom sta Bog radi u duhovnom. On podize duhovni standard za ove kampove i za crkvu u Bosni i Hercegovini! Amen!

Predanje, marljivost i zrtvovanje svih radnika bila je zasigurno Bogu ugodna zrtva. Gospodin je definitivno uslisao nase molitve za jedinstvo medju nama. Uistinu smo iskusili vrijeme slatkog zajednistva i smijeha uz vrijeme rada i znoja! Hvala Bogu za to! Njegova prisutnost je bila medju nama (jos uvijek jeste!).

Since all our work and set up depends on that!

* Also, continue praying for that livestock sickness, for health and protection over workers and campers!

* And please pray for the unity overall between all, leaders, workers, and campers! Pray against confusion and division that's so common for these areas.

Basic Info on Camps/ OSNOVNE INFORMACIJE O KAMPU

Where are the camps held?
Camp Emek Beraka is held in the mountains at Boracko Lake near the city of Konjic - in between Sarajevo and Mostar, two major cities of Bosnia and Hercegovina.

What does "Emek Beraka" mean?
In Hebrew "Emek Beraka" means "Valley of Blessing". In 2 Chronicles 20, the Lord turned what was meant to be a valley of defeat into a valley of blessing. Though the destruction of war can still be seen with destroyed houses and a once neglected field, we believe this name Emek Beraka proclaims like a trumpet the truth, purpose, and promises of God over Boracko Lake and the nation of Bosnia and Hercegovina!

Purpose and Vision of the camps is to serve the Body of Christ in BiH in the areas of evangelism, discipleship and equipping for the work of the ministry in the church. Over the past 15 years the ministry of the Summer camps has brought many blessings in many different ways to the Church.
We have experienced ethnic walls fall down, broken hearts healed, lost people getting saved, young people called into ministry and Christian leaders strengthen, refreshed through fellowship with other leaders and Presence of the Lord! There is no ministry in this country whose effect is so overarching and of such importance for God's plan for the Balkans!

Long Term Vision
Recently we have purchased the camp site that we have been renting since 2002! The next step is building project for all the facilities. The long term vision is to use it for:

Summer Camps for all the churches together
Summer Camp for one local church, or smaller regional groups of churches.
Winter Camps
Camps with special focus (adventure, extreme sports, student ministry, leaders...)
Christian Conferences and Seminars
Retreats
Available to other Christan organizations for use

GDJE SE KAMPOVI ODRZAVAJU?
Kampovi se odrzavaju u planinama pored Konjica, na Borackom Jezeru, otprilike na pola puta izmedju Sarajeva i Mostara, dva velika grada u BiH.

Sta "Emek Beraka" znaci?
U Hebrejskom "Emek Beraka" znaci "Dolina Blagoslova". U 2 Ljet 20., Gospodin je okrenuo nesto sto je trebalo biti dolina poraza u dolinu blagolsova. Iako rusevine rata se jos mogu vidjeti na srusenim kucama i jednom zanemarenim poljima, mi vjerujemo da ovo ime "Emek Beraka" kao truba proklamira istinu, svrhu i obecanja Bozja nad Borackim Jezerom i citavom BiH!

Koja je vizija i svrha?
Svrha i vizija kampova je da sluze tijelu Kristovom u BiH kroz evangelizaciju, ucenisto i opremanje radnika za djelo sluzbe. Kroz proteklih 15 godina, sluzba ljetnih kampova je donijela mnogo razlicith blagoslova Crkvi.
Dozivjeli smo slamanje etnickih zidova, iscjeljivanje slomljenih srca, spasavanje izgubljenih, prepoznavanje poziva za sluzbu medju mladima, obnova i osnazivanje vodja kroz zajednistvo s drugim vodjama i naravno prisutnost Bozju! Nema sluzbe u ovoj zemlji ciji je efekt toliko sveobuhvatan i koja je od tolikog znacaja za ono sto Bog ima za Balkan!

Vizija za Buducnost!
Zahvalni smo Bogu da smo nedavno kupili prostor koji smo od 2002 iznajmljivali da bi ondje odrzavali kampove. Slijedeci korak je planirati konacan izgleda kampa i objekte koje c eukljucivati. Svrha i vizija za kamp u budcnosti ukljucuje koristenje za :

Zajednicke ljetne kampove
Ljetne kampove za pojedinacne crkve ili regionalnu grupu lokalnih crkava
Zimske Kampove
Kampove sa specificnim fokusom (avantura, extremni sportovi, studentska sluzba, za vodje, zene, muskarce, bracne parove...)
Konferencije i seminari
Retreati i odmori
Dostupno drugim organizacijama na upotrebu
